- Use compressed air hose without exception with compressor, never with compressed air bottles.
- Use only with accessories in perfect condition.
- Never exceed the maximum working pressure of the drum or air tools.
- Only connect to lines where the maximum permissible pressure is prevented (e.g., by a pressure reducer, by more than 10%).
- Keep the compressed air hose away from sharp objects, pointed edges, high heat and highly flammable materials.
- Keep housing and hoses free of dust and dirt.

Attention - Risk of injury
- Install the hose reel permanently on a wall or ceiling.
- Swaying compressed-air hoses can cause serious injuries.
- An uncontrolled rolling up of the hose bears a high risk of injury.
- Compressed air hoses lying around are a potential tripping hazard.
- Never direct compressed air hoses against people or animals.
- Always disconnect the compressed air hose reel from the compressed air supply.
2. Intended use
The compressed air hose reel is exclusively designed to supply power to compressed air tools and applications in combination with a compressor. The hose reel is suitable for transporting compressed air without exception. Liquids such as water must not be transported with the article.
The hose reel must be mounted on a suitable wall or ceiling. Without such a fastening the use of this compressed air unit is not permitted.
The article is only designed for private persons from the hobby and do-it-yourself sector. The compressed-air hose reel is not suitable for use in commercial, industrial and handicraft areas.
The intended use of this article also includes:
- Only use accessories that are suitable for this compressed air hose reel.
- All persons using the equipment must be familiar with the handling of the equipment and informed about possible dangers.
- When using the unit, all applicable accident prevention regulations must be strictly observed.
- Also follow all regulations from the occupational medicine and safety regulations area.
3. Place of installation
Use of the reel without mounting it poses a great danger to persons and objects in the vicinity of the drum. For this reason, non-assembly use is not permitted. Mount the unit on a suitable ceiling or wall.
Select the installation location so that the compressed air hose reel is not in the way and does not present an obstacle to you. To ensure that you can walk under the unit without any problems, you should ensure that the mounting height is at least 2.5 metres when mounting the unit on the ceiling.
Before drilling, make sure that no hidden lines or pipes run along the installation site. Use a detector to detect pipes and cables. Alternatively, you can also seek professional help.
Also make sure that the wall or ceiling has sufficient load-bearing capacity and carries the compressed air hose reel. If this is not the case, the Compressed air hose reels must never be attached at this point.
4. Assembly
The compressed-air hose reel may only be mounted in places where sufficient load-bearing capacity is guaranteed and where neither lines nor pipes run along it. If in doubt, consult a specialist who will check the ceiling or wall for the necessary requirements.
Take great care when installing the reel. Take sufficient time and work concentrated. Improper installation of the drum endangers product safety and can result in personal injury and damage to property.
Only use certified tools from specialist dealers for assembly. Observe the safety and warning instructions of these tools.
Always wear suitable protective clothing during installation.

4.2 Mounting to a wall
Depending on the variant, the fixing wing is used as a template for the drill holes. Plan the position so that the reel can be connected to a compressor. Mount the rewinder approx. 80cm above the floor. The hose to the reel must reach a compressor.
Diagram shows a hose reel mounted on a wall, with an arrow indicating approximately 80cm from the floor. Text below reads '*Product may vary due to variety'.
5. Use
5.1 Notes on correct use
The compressed air hose reel is only suitable for the transport of compressed air. The device must not be used with liquids or flammable gases. There is a risk of explosion with flammable gases.
The compressed air hose reel may only be used with a compressor. Use with compressed air cylinders is not permitted.
Never exceed the maximum working pressure of the compressed air hose reel or the compressed air tool operated with it. Without exception, attach the compressed air hose reel to compressed air lines where exceeding the maximum permissible pressure by more than 10 percent is prevented, e.g. by a pressure reducer).
The compressed air hose reel is equipped with a locking and return mechanism that makes it easy to pull out and return the hose. Nevertheless, always make sure that you let the hose snap back in a controlled manner. Uncontrolled rewinding of the hose can cause serious injury. If the rewind mechanism is damaged, the hose reel must be taken out of operation immediately. Have the unit repaired by a qualified technician before operating the unit again.
The locking mechanism produces a creaking sound when the hose is rolled up and unrolled. This is therefore not a fault or damage. After numerous applications or if there are problems with the mechanism, or this noise changes, a specialist should be consulted immediately.
Check the hose carefully for holes and other damage before each use. They reduce the performance of the appliance and pose a risk of injury. To prevent holes and damage, always keep the compressed air hose away from sharp or pointed objects.
Also keep open fires and other sources of heat and easily flammable materials such as oil away from the compressed air hose.
When disconnecting the compressed air hose from the compressed air source or the air tool from the compressed air hose reel. The hose can whip around and cause serious injury to you and people in the immediate vicinity. You should therefore always have a firm grip on the hose.
5.2 Use
- Slowly pull the hose out of the drum. The hose has 2 - 3 locking positions per meter.
- Do not continue to pull on the hose when it is already fully extended. Observe the markings.
- Hold the end of the hose while it is being rewound into the drum to prevent it from being pulled back uncontrollably.
6. Cleaning
Dirt not only looks unattractive; it also has a negative effect on material properties and functionality. For this reason, AREBOS recommends the device be cleaned thoroughly after each use.
Keep the housing and hose as free of dust and dirt as possible by wiping them regularly with a clean cloth or blowing away the dirt with compressed air at low pressure. Take care that no moisture gets inside the hose reel.
Before you put the hose back into the housing after work is done, you should clean the hose thoroughly. Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water for this.
Never use sharp, pointed or scratching cleaning utensils for cleaning. Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasive cleaners. These attack the plastic and damage it over time.
7. Maintenance
The compressed air hose reel and accessories must be checked for damage at regular intervals. If any damage is discovered, the unit must not be used again until the damage has been repaired.
To avoid danger, necessary repair work should not be carried out by the user. Always have damage repaired by a qualified specialist workshop. Use original spare or replacement parts from the manufacturer without exception.
Before starting any maintenance or repair work, the compressed air hose reels must be disconnected from the compressed air supply.
8. Troubleshooting
The hose cannot be retracted automatically after the hose has been completely pulled out. The reason may be that the end of the hose is locked and there is no additional hose that can be pulled out for unlocking.
There is the following possibility to solve this problem: Hold the hose by the yellow mark and pull it out with a jerking motion. Move the hose until it retracts.
