What's in the Box

Buttons
The speaker features several controls on its top panel:
- Power Button: Turns the speaker on or off.
- Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Volume Up Button: Increases the volume.
- Volume Down Button: Decreases the volume.
- Play/Pause Button: Controls music playback (play, pause, skip).
- JBL Connect+ Button: Links multiple compatible JBL speakers wirelessly.
Connections
A protective rubber flap covers the rear ports:
- Power Input: For connecting the power adapter.
- USB Charge Out: For charging external devices (5V/2A max).
- AUX Input: For wired audio connection.
Note: The USB port is also used for firmware upgrades only.
Bluetooth
Connecting a Device
1. Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker to enter pairing mode.
2. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "XTREME 2 GM" from the list.
3. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid blue.
Music Control
Use the speaker's buttons or your connected device to control music playback:
- Press Play/Pause to play or pause music.
- Press Play/Pause twice to skip to the next track.
- Use Volume Up/Down buttons to adjust the sound level.
JBL Connect+
Wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ compatible speakers together to amplify your listening experience.
To link speakers:
- Play music on one JBL speaker.
- Press the JBL Connect+ button on all desired speakers to start pairing.
All linked speakers will play the same music from the source.
JBL Connect App
Download the JBL Connect app for enhanced features:
- Stereo setup for immersive sound.
- Firmware upgrades for the latest features.
- Device renaming for personalization.

Warnings and Care
IPX7 Waterproofing
The JBL Xtreme 2 Gunmetal Edition is IPX7 waterproof. This means it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.
Important Precautions:
- To ensure waterproofing, always remove all cable connections and tightly close the protective rubber cap before exposing the speaker to liquids. Failure to do so may result in permanent damage.
- Do not expose the speaker to water while it is charging, as this can cause permanent damage to the speaker or power source.
Battery Care:
- If the speaker will not be used for a long period, recharge the battery at least once every 3 months to maintain battery health.
- Battery life and performance may vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.
