1. What's in the box

2. Buttons
Description of the buttons on the JBL XTREME speaker:
- Power Button: A circular button to turn the speaker on or off.
- Bluetooth Button: Press to initiate Bluetooth pairing.
- Volume Down Button: Press to decrease the audio volume.
- Volume Up Button: Press to increase the audio volume.
- Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause music playback.
- Previous Track Button: Press once to skip to the previous track.
- Next Track Button: Press once to skip to the next track.
- JBL Connect Button: Press to link multiple JBL Connect compatible speakers wirelessly.
3. Connections
The JBL XTREME features several ports for connectivity and upgrades:
- Power Adapter Port: Connect the provided power adapter here.
- USB Service Port: This port is for firmware upgrades only.
- Aux-in Port: Connect audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable.
The speaker can be connected to devices like laptops and smartphones for firmware updates or audio playback.
4. Music Control / Bluetooth®
4.1 Music Control
Manage your music playback using the speaker's controls:
- Press the Play/Pause button once (x1) to play or pause music.
- Press the Previous Track button once (x1) to go to the previous track.
- Press the Next Track button once (x1) to go to the next track.

5. Speakerphone
Utilize the JBL XTREME as a hands-free speakerphone. It features VoiceLogic technology, which enhances voice clarity by minimizing background noise.
6. JBL Connect
Wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect compatible speakers together to amplify your sound experience. All connected speakers will play the same music from the same device.
To begin pairing, press the JBL Connect button on all desired speakers. All connected speakers will play the same music from the same device.

8. Warning
The JBL XTREME is splashproof, meaning it can withstand water splashes from any direction. However, submerging it in water or other liquids may result in permanent damage to the speaker.
IMPORTANT: To ensure splashproof protection, always remove all cable connections and tightly close the zipper before exposing the speaker to liquids. Do not expose the JBL XTREME to dripping or splashing while charging.
Splashproof is defined as water splashing against the enclosure from any direction having no harmful effect on the unit.
