Instruction Manual
Introduction
Congratulations to the purchase of this Max Music product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product in order to benefit fully from all features.
Read the manual prior to using the product. Follow the instructions in order not to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.
Important Safety Precautions
Ask advice from a specialist before using the product.
A slight smell may occur when the unit is switched on for the first time; this is normal and will disappear after a while.
The unit contains voltage-carrying parts. Do NOT open the housing.
Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the product, as this may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
Do not place the product near heat sources such as radiators, etc., or on a vibrating surface. Do not cover ventilation holes.
The product is not suitable for continuous use.
Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
When unplugging from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
If the plug and/or mains lead are damaged, they must be replaced by a qualified technician.
If the product is damaged such that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it into a mains outlet and DO NOT switch it on. Contact your dealer.
Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.
To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the product to rain and moisture.
All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
During a thunderstorm or if the product will not be used for a longer period, unplug it from the mains. Rule: Unplug when not in use.
If the product has not been used for a longer period, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before switching it on. Never use in humid rooms or outdoors.
During operation, the housing may become hot.
Do not repeatedly switch the product on and off; this shortens its life time.
Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
Do not use cleaning sprays on switches; residues can cause dust and grease deposits. Seek specialist advice for malfunctions.
Only operate the product with clean hands.
Do not force the controls.
If the product has fallen, have it checked by a qualified technician before switching it on again.
Do not use chemicals to clean the unit, as they can damage the varnish. Clean only with a dry cloth.
Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
Only use original spares for repairs to avoid serious damage and/or dangerous radiation.
Switch the product off before unplugging it from the mains or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the product.
Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults.
The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if the power outlet matches. If travelling, ensure the mains voltage of the country is suitable.
Keep original packing material for safe transport.
The mark ⚡ indicates high voltages inside the housing that can cause a shock hazard.
The mark ⚠ indicates important instructions in the manual that must be read and adhered to.
The product is CE certified. Do not make any changes to the product, as this would invalidate the CE certificate and guarantee.
NOTE: For normal operation, use in rooms with temperatures between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F.
Electric products must not be put into household waste. Please bring them to a recycling centre.
Unpacking Instruction
CAUTION! Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packaging material if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packaging materials. If the product must be returned, it is important that the product is returned in the original factory box and packaging. If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Power Supply
The label on the back/under side of the product indicates the mains voltage to which it must be connected. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to this. Any other voltage than the one indicated may cause irreparable damage to the unit. The unit must also be connected directly to the mains voltage and no dimmer or adjustable power supply may be used.
Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Make sure the device has an appropriate electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire. ⚡
Assembly Piano Furniture Stand
Follow these steps to assemble the piano stand:
Use screws (TA4*50) to fix the angle iron on the left and right stand boards separately.
Fix the nut screws into the four holes of the connection board.
Use the screws (TM6*50) to fix the connection board with the left and right stand boards. The stand is now assembled.
Place the piano body on the wooden stand and use the screws (TM6*20) to fix it.

Controls Keyboard
The keyboard features a control panel with various buttons and knobs for operating the RhapsodyDP61 Digital Piano. The main controls are numbered and detailed below:
Keyboard Layout Description: The image shows a standard 61-key piano keyboard. Above the keys, there is a control panel with a display screen (LCD), numerous buttons labeled with numbers (1-38) and functions (e.g., MASTER VOLUME, TEMPO, STYLE, TONE, DEMO), and rotary knobs.
Key Controls:
1. MASTER VOLUME
Rotate the [Master Vol] knob to raise or lower the master volume.
2. TEMPO
Press the [Tempo v] or [Tempo ^] button to raise or lower the tempo of Style, Beat, or Demo. The default tempo is 120. Press both simultaneously to reset to the default value.
3. ACCOMP VOLUME
There are 9 levels of style accompaniment volume; the system default is 07. Press the [/] keys to adjust the accompaniment volume. Press both simultaneously to reset to the default value.
4. INTRO/ENDING
Press the [Intro/Ending] button to start the prelude. Then, switch to the regular Style to continue. During Style playback, press [Intro/Ending] to start playing an ending code.
5. SYNC
Press the [Sync] button to enter the Sync function before Style playback. Press any key on the left 19 keys to start Style playback. The Beat point will illuminate on the LCD. The display shows the current tone or Style. If chord function is active, press the corresponding key in the 19-key chord area to start auto-chord. Press [Sync] again to exit.
6. FILL IN
Press the [FILL-IN] button to add an interlude to the Style. The fill played is determined by the selected accompaniment style. After the fill, the selected accompaniment Style will continue playing.
7. VARIATION
In Style mode, press the [Variation] button; the piano will play the style with a variation. Press [Variation] again to exit this function.
8. START/STOP
Press the [Start/Stop] button to play the Style. Press [Play/Stop] again to exit this function.
9. SINGLE CHORD 1
Press [Style], then [Single chord 1] to start single-finger accompaniment. Press any key on the left 19 keys to begin the Style. Press a different key on the left keyboard to select a different chord. The key pressed determines the root of the played chord. Press [Start/Stop] to end.
10. SINGLE CHORD 2
Press [Style], then [Single chord 2] to start single-finger accompaniment. Press any key on the left 19 keys to begin the Style. Press a different key on the left keyboard to select a different chord. The key pressed determines the root of the played chord. Press [Start/Stop] to end.
11. FINGER CHORD
Press [Style], then [Finger chord] to start fingered accompaniment. Press any key on the left 19 keys to begin the Style. Press a different key on the left keyboard to select a different chord. Press [Start/Stop] to end the effect.
12. CHORD CLOSE
Press [Chord close] to stop chord accompaniment while the Style continues to play.
13. BASS CHORD
Press [Bass Chord] for a heavy bass effect. Press [Bass Chord] again to exit.
14. ACCORDION
Press [Accordion] to quickly select accordion mode or exit.
15. REC
Press [Rec] to record music.
16. PLAY
Press [Play] to playback recorded notes or styles.
17. PROG
Press [Program] to enter Style programming mode.
18. PRC
Press [PRC] to produce Beat voice. Each key corresponds to a percussion. There are 61 percussion types. Press [PRC] again to exit.
19. METRONOME
Press [Metronome] to cycle through 4 metronome rhythms (1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4). Pressing a fifth time cancels the function.
20. TRANSPOSE
Press [Transpose v/^] to transpose notes. Adjustment range is "-6" to "+6". Pressing both buttons simultaneously resets to default.
21. GUITAR
Press [Guitar] to quickly select guitar mode or exit.
22. LCD DISPLAY
Displays current mode, notes, style, tempo, etc.
23. PIANO
Press [Piano] to quickly select piano mode or exit.
24. STYLE
Select from 300 styles using number buttons [0-9] or [+/-]. Refer to Appendix II for style table.
25. TONE
Select from 300 tones using number buttons [0-9] or [+/-]. Refer to Appendix I for tone table.
26. DEMO
Play 80 stored demo songs [000-079] using [Demo] button or number buttons [0-9] / [+/-]. Press [Start/Stop] to stop.
27. ONE KEY
Enter one-key teaching function.
28. FOLLOW
Enter following teaching function.
29. ENSEMBLE
Enter ensemble teaching function.
30. NUM-PAD
Use [+/-] or [0-9] buttons to select accompaniment.
31. DOUBLE
Press [Double] to enter dual voice mode, composing each note from two voices.
32. SPLIT
Press [Split] to divide the keyboard into left and right sections. In 'tone' mode, use number buttons or [+/-] to adjust the right zone voice. Press [Split] again to exit.
33. SUSTAIN
Press [Sustain] to make notes decay gradually after finger is lifted. Press again to disable.
34. VIBRATION
Press [Vibrato] to activate vibrato effect. Press again to disable.
35. TOUCH
Press [Touch] to disable touch sensitivity. The piano plays with different volume based on playing force. Press [Touch] again to re-enable.
36. MEMORY
Use [Memory] and [M1-M4] buttons to save favorite settings (tone, style, tempo). Press [M1-M4] again to delete.
37. M1-M2-M3-M4
Memory preset buttons.

Connections
The rear panel of the piano features the following connection ports:
39. DC-9V
Socket for plugging in the supplied 9V adapter.
40. HEADPHONE JACK
Connecting headphones to the PHONES/OUTPUT port automatically disables the loudspeaker. Perform without disturbing others.
41. LINE OUT
Connect to an external amplifier or speaker system. Turn off piano and external equipment before connecting. Insert one end of stereo audio cable into LINE IN or AUX IN of other equipment and the other end into LINE OUT on the piano's rear panel.
42. SUSTAIN PEDAL JACK
Insert a sustain pedal plug into the SUS PEDAL jack to produce natural sustain. The function can be enabled/disabled via the pedal plug.
43. USB PORT
Connect to MIDI-compatible devices for data transfer with a computer, such as storing played music.

Before You Start
Use the special power adapter supplied with this electronic keyboard or a 9V DC, 500mA adapter. Insert the DC plug or adapter into the DC 9V power jack on the rear panel, connect the other end to the main socket, switch on the power, and begin playing.
Recording Function
Press [Rec] to enter recording mode. You will hear metronome sounds, and the default tempo is 120. Press any button or drum key to start recording. Maximum recording quantity is 180. When full, the metronome stops, and recording cannot continue. Pressing this button clears previous recordings and re-enters recording mode.
Press [Play] to play recorded notes.
Press [Prog] to enter style programming mode. Press keys to program a style paragraph. This edited style can record up to 32 drum points. Press [Play] to play the edited drum sound sequentially, forming a custom style. Adjust [Tempo ^/v] buttons for best results. Pressing [Prog] again clears the last memory and re-enters programming mode.
Teaching Function
Intelligent Teaching: Press [One Key], [Follow], or [Ensemble] to access the teaching function. Then press number keys or [A/V] to select teaching songs. Press [One Key] again to exit.
One Key Teaching: The demo continues only if a key is pressed. Otherwise, it stops. The song plays continuously regardless of playing accuracy.
Follow Teaching: The main part of the demo is restored. Follow the display to play notes correctly, then play the next note shown on the display.
Ensemble Teaching: The main part of the demo is restored (like Karaoke). The demo song does not stop. If no key is pressed for 5 seconds, the main demo part resumes. After learning a song, it repeats for practice. You can also choose a favorite song to learn.
Appendix I: Tone List
This section lists the available tones for the piano. The list includes 300 tones, categorized by type (e.g., Acoustic Grand Piano, Electric Guitar, Synthesizers, Brass, Woodwinds, etc.).
