Congratulations on your purchase of this Max Music product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product to benefit fully from all its features.
Safety Information and Precautions
General Safety:
- Read the manual before use. Follow instructions to avoid invalidating the warranty.
- Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock.
- Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
- Keep the manual for future reference.
- Ask a specialist for advice before using the product.
- A slight smell may occur upon first use, which is normal and will disappear.
- The unit contains voltage-carrying parts; do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the product, as this may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the product near heat sources (radiators, etc.) or on vibrating surfaces. Do not cover ventilation holes.
- The product is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead; do not damage it. A faulty or damaged lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- If the plug or mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the product is damaged and internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
- Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the product to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- During thunderstorms or if the product will not be used for a longer period, unplug it from the mains.
- If the product has not been used for a longer period, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before switching it on.
- Never use the product in humid rooms or outdoors.
- During operation, the housing may become hot.
- Follow applicable guidelines and instructions to prevent accidents.
- Do not repeatedly switch the product on and off, as this shortens its lifespan.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays on switches; residues can cause deposits.
- In case of malfunction, always seek advice from a specialist.
- Do not force controls.
- If the product has fallen, have it checked by a qualified technician before switching it on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit; use a dry cloth only.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Only use original spares for repairs to avoid serious damage or dangerous radiation.
- Switch the product off before unplugging it from the mains or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the product.
- Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead for damage before every use.
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if your power outlet matches. If traveling, ensure the country's mains voltage is suitable.
- Keep original packing material for safe transport.

The product is CE certified. Do not make any changes to the product, as this will invalidate the CE certificate and guarantee.
NOTE: For normal operation, use the unit in rooms with a temperature between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F.
Electric products must not be put into household waste. Please bring them to a recycling centre. Check with local authorities or your dealer for disposal procedures. Specifications are typical and may vary slightly between units. Specifications are subject to change without prior notice.
Do not attempt self-repairs or modifications; this will void your warranty. The warranty is not applicable in case of accidents or damages caused by inappropriate use or disregard of warnings. Max is not responsible for personal injuries caused by disregarding safety recommendations.
Unpacking Instruction
CAUTION: Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check contents to ensure all parts are present and in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packaging material if parts appear damaged or the package shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all materials. If the product must be returned, it must be in the original factory box and packaging. If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. Condensation water might damage the device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Power Supply
The label on the bottom of the product indicates the type of power supply to connect to. Check that the mains voltage corresponds. Other voltages may cause irreparable damage. The product must be directly connected to the mains, without a dimmer or adjustable power supply.
⚠ Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Ensure the device has appropriate electrical grounding to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
Controls
The keyboard features the following controls:
- SPEAKERS: Loudspeakers to reproduce the sound of the music played. Sound level is determined by the volume setting.
- POWER ON/OFF: Switch to turn the keyboard on or off.
- VOLUME: Press the [+] or [-] buttons to adjust volume.
- TEMPO: Press the [+] or [-] buttons to adjust tempo.
- TONE: The factory setting tone is piano. There are 16 tones available (Appendix I). Press [T00 - T15] to choose your tone.
- STOP: In RHYTHM, PLAY, DEMO, SINGLE, and TEACHING modes, press [STOP] to exit the mode.
- DRUM COMBINATION: 5 percussions available via 5 different buttons. Press the desired button to select.
- RHYTHM: 8 rhythms available (Appendix II). Press R00 to R07 to choose.
- DEMO: Press the [DEMO] button to play the 1st song and enter single cycle mode. The song will replay upon completion. Press [DEMO] again to select other songs (6 demos total, Appendix III). To stop, press [STOP].
- SINGLE: Single finger chord. Press R00-R07 to choose the Rhythm, then press [SINGLE]. Play keys 1-14 on the left side to start the chord.
- FILL-IN: Press R00-R07 to choose the Rhythm, then press [FILL-IN] to add percussions to the rhythm.
- TEACHING: Press the [TEACHING] button and then any white key to play background music from the demos. You can play any key, and it will be automatically corrected like the demos. This mode helps you practice and learn the demos.
- PROGRAM: Press the [PROG] button to enter this mode and press percussion buttons to record your own percussions.
- RECORD: Press the [RECORD] button to record the music you play.
- PLAY: Press the [PLAY] button to play the music you just recorded or programmed.
- MICROPHONE: Connect the microphone to the MIC port when needed. The microphone is stored on the bottom of the keyboard.
- DC JACK: Connect the USB C Micro power cord to the DC Jack for charging.
Start Playing
Press the ON/OFF button and play any white or black key. If a piano sound is heard, the keyboard is working.
Sleep Function:
- If the keyboard is not played for more than 3 minutes, it will automatically enter sleep mode.
- To wake it up, press any white or black key.
