Product Overview
The IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera system includes a camera and a gateway. Below is a description of the camera's components.
Front View
Lens: Captures video footage.
Photosensor: Detects ambient light levels to switch between day and night vision modes.
Loudspeaker: Outputs audio.
MIC: Captures audio.
Status indicator: Provides visual feedback on the camera's operational status.
Rear View
PIR sensor: Detects motion.
Note: The protective film of the PIR sensor is delicate and can be easily scratched. Avoid touching it unnecessarily; minor wear will not affect its functionality.
Power Base: Supports the camera and allows for adjustment of its field of view (FOV) by rotating.
USB port: Used for power input or data transfer.
Gateway Overview
The gateway acts as a hub for the camera. Its components include:
USB charging port: For powering the gateway.
MicroSD slot: For inserting a MicroSD card for video recording.
Status indicator: Shows the gateway's operational status.
Reset button: Used to reset the gateway to factory settings.
Cable interface: For wired network connection.
Cooling holes: For ventilation.
Note: Use MicroSD cards from reliable manufacturers. The maximum supported capacity is 64GB, and it must be formatted as FAT32. A memory card read/write speed of U1/Class10 or higher is recommended.
Note: Install the gateway between your router and the camera for optimal performance.

Product Installation
The IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera can be installed indoors or outdoors within the gateway's signal coverage, without needing a power socket for the camera itself. Place the gateway near your router, with a recommended distance of 1-15 meters between the camera and the gateway, ensuring no obstructions or interference.
Installation on Wall
To prevent accidental injury, the device must be securely anchored to the wall following these instructions. The wall must support at least triple the product's total weight.
- Drill two holes on the wall using the camera's mounting bracket or template as a guide. It is recommended to mark the hole locations with a pencil before drilling. Each hole should be approximately 0.6cm in diameter and 2.5cm deep.
- Insert the provided anchors into the drilled holes on the wall.
- Position the gasket (mounting plate) and secure it in place by tightening screws into the plastic anchors.
- Align the grooves on the bottom of the camera with the raised area on the gasket. Press down until the surfaces are flush, then rotate the camera in either direction to lock it into position.
Important Installation Notes:
- Do not install the device near heat sources like air conditioner external units, range hood outlets, or gas water heaters.
- Do not place the device in environments exposed to rain for extended periods.
Note: If the device is not installed according to the instructions, any resulting damage will not be covered under warranty.
Turning the Gateway On
Gateway Power On:
- Connect one end of the power cord to the USB port on the back of the gateway and the other end to a power source.
- After powering on, check the gateway's status via the indicator light. A solid yellow light indicates the gateway is starting up. A flashing yellow light signifies that the gateway is waiting for connection.
Connect with Mi Home / Xiaomi Home App
This product is designed to work with the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app. You can control your device using this application.
- Download the App: Scan the provided QR code (mentioning the QR code is not possible in HTML, so describe the action) to download and install the app. Alternatively, search for "Mi Home / Xiaomi Home" in your app store.
- Add Device: Open the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner, and follow the on-screen prompts to add your device.
* In Europe (excluding Russia), the app is referred to as the Xiaomi Home app. The app name displayed on your device should be considered the default.
Note: App versions may be updated. Always follow the instructions based on the current app version.
Adding the Gateway
There are two primary methods to add the gateway:
Method One: Scanning QR Code
- Open the Mi Jia app's home page.
- Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to enter the "Add device" page.
- Tap the QR code scanning icon (described as a button " " in the OCR) in the upper right corner.
- Quickly add the gateway by scanning the QR code found on the previous page or on the bottom of the camera.
Method Two: Manual Addition or Nearby Scan
- Open the Mi Jia app's home page and tap "+" to enter the "Add device" page.
- Scan for nearby devices (available for Android users only).
- Alternatively, manually enter "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera GateWay" into the search box to add the device.

Network Configuration
Configure your wireless network account and password following the instructions within the app. A steady blue light on the gateway indicates a successful connection. A flashing yellow light signifies a connection failure. After configuring the wireless network, the gateway can automatically switch to a wired connection by plugging a network cable into the interface at the back of the gateway, which can improve network transmission rate and stability.
Gateway/Camera Reset
- Gateway Reset: Long press the reset button for 8 seconds. If the indicator flashes yellow, the gateway has been successfully reset.
- Camera Reset: Long press the power button for 8 seconds. If the indicator flashes blue, the camera has been successfully reset.
Adding the Camera
- In the Mi Jia app, navigate to the home page and select "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera GateWay".
- Enter the "Add Camera" page and tap "Add now".
- Press and hold the camera's power button for 2 seconds. The camera is now ready to connect, and its indicator will flash blue.
- Tap "Next". The gateway is also ready to connect, and its indicator will flash blue.
- Follow the steps within the app to connect the camera. A successful connection will be confirmed with a "Connected" prompt in the app.
Note: When connecting and during use, maintain a distance of over 1 meter between the camera and the gateway.

Features
Supporting Infrared Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision mode via its IR-CUT filter based on ambient light detected by the photosensor. Equipped with eight infrared illuminators, the camera can view subjects up to 9 meters away and capture clear images in darkness.

Real-Time Monitoring
Launch the Mi Jia app and select your connected "IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera" via the "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera Gateway". This allows you to monitor your surroundings in real-time. The camera's control interface enables functions such as screen capture, screen recording, and remote communication.

Playback
The playback feature is accessible only after a compatible MicroSD card is installed in the gateway. Once the card is inserted and the security camera is powered on, videos are recorded automatically. To view recordings, navigate to the "Playback" section within the IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera control interface in the Mi Jia app and select the desired time period.
Automatic Monitoring
Configure this feature through the Mi Jia app by navigating to "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera GateWay" > "IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera" > "Automatic Monitoring". The device can detect movement within its field of view. Upon detecting motion, it records a video and sends a notification to the user. Users can customize security times, alarm sensitivity, and time intervals.
Shared Remote Viewing
Within the IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera control interface in the Mi Jia app, you can set your camera as a shared device under "General Settings". You can then invite friends to view the camera remotely. Invited friends must download the Mi Jia app and log in with their Xiaomi account.
Sharing options include: Share with Mi Account, Share with friends, Share to my family, Manage sharing.

Precautions
- Operating Temperature: The suitable operating temperature range for the product is between -20°C and 50°C. Do not use the product outside this range.
- Charging Temperature: When charging, the operating temperature range is between 0°C and 45°C. Do not charge the product outside this range.
- Standby Time: Using the product in low temperatures or while charging may affect its standby time. Actual standby time depends on user environment and habits.
- Lens Placement: To improve performance, avoid placing the camera lens facing or next to reflective surfaces like glass windows/doors or white walls. This can cause overexposed areas near the camera and underexposed areas further away, or result in white images.
- Wi-Fi Signal: Install the product in areas with good Wi-Fi reception. Place the device where the Wi-Fi signal is strong. Keep the security camera away from metal structures, microwave ovens, or other potential sources of signal interference.
- Battery Safety: Do not attempt to replace the camera's battery yourself, as improper replacement poses a risk of explosion. Batteries (battery pack or individual batteries) must not be exposed to sunlight, fire, or similar overheating conditions.
- Usage While Charging: This is a low-power consumption camera with a built-in battery. Avoid using the Real-Time Monitoring feature for extended periods while charging to prevent battery life degradation.
