Product Overview

Camera Components

The IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera features:

Front View: Lens, PIR sensor, MIC (microphone), Photosensor, Loudspeaker, Status indicator.
Rear View: Power port, USB port, Base (for adjusting field of view).

Note: The protective film on the PIR sensor is delicate; avoid touching it. Minor wear does not affect functionality.

Gateway Components

The IMILAB Wire-Free Camera Gateway includes:

Note: Use MicroSD cards from reliable manufacturers (up to 64GB, FAT32 format). Recommended read/write speed is U1/Class10. The gateway should be installed between the router and the camera.

Product Installation

General Placement

Install the IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera indoors or outdoors within the gateway's signal coverage. The camera does not require a power socket. Place the gateway near your router. The optimal distance between the camera and gateway is 1-15 meters, free from shelters or interference.

Installation on Wall

Drill two holes on the wall using the camera's base as a template. Mark hole locations with a pencil. Each hole should be approximately 0.6cm in diameter and 2.5cm deep.
Insert the provided anchors into the drilled holes.
Position the gasket, then secure the camera mount by tightening screws into the anchors.
Align the grooves on the camera's bottom with the raised area on the mount. Press down until flush, then rotate the camera to lock it in place.

Important Safety Notes: To prevent injury, the device must be securely anchored to the wall. The wall must support at least triple the product's weight. Do not install near heat sources (e.g., air conditioners, range hoods, gas water heaters). Avoid placing the device in rainy environments for extended periods. Damage caused by improper installation is not covered by the warranty.

Turning the Gateway On

Gateway Power On

Connect one end of the power cord to the gateway's USB port and the other end to a power source.
After powering on, observe the indicator light:
- Steady yellow light: Gateway is starting up.
- Flashing yellow light: Gateway is waiting for connection.

Connect with Mi Home / Xiaomi Home App

App Download and Setup

This product is compatible with the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app. Download and install the app by scanning the provided QR code or by searching "Mi Home / Xiaomi Home" in your app store. If the app is already installed, scanning the QR code will direct you to the connection setup page. (Note: The app is referred to as Xiaomi Home app in Europe, excluding Russia. Use the app name displayed on your device.)

Note: App versions may be updated; follow the instructions based on the current app version.

Adding the Gateway

Method One: From the Mi Home app's home page, tap "+" in the upper right corner to enter the Add device page. Tap the "+" button again in the upper right corner to quickly add the gateway by scanning the QR code on the previous page or the bottom of the camera.

Method Two: On the Mi Home app's home page, tap "+" to enter the Add device page. Scan nearby devices (Android only) or manually enter "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera GateWay" into the search box to add the device.

After configuring your wireless network credentials in the app, the gateway will connect. A steady blue light indicates a successful connection. A flashing yellow light indicates connection failure. For improved network transmission rate and stability, connect the network cable to the gateway's interface.

Gateway/Camera Reset

Gateway Reset: Long press the reset button for 8 seconds. The indicator will flash yellow, confirming a successful reset.
Camera Reset: Long press the power button for 8 seconds. The indicator will flash blue, confirming a successful reset.

Adding the Camera

On the Mi Jia app home page, click "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera GateWay" to enter the Add Camera page. Tap "Add now". Long press the camera's power button for 2 seconds until its indicator flashes blue. Then, click "Next". The gateway indicator will also flash blue. Follow the in-app steps to connect the camera. A "Connected" prompt will appear upon successful connection.

Note: Maintain a distance of over 1 meter between the camera and gateway during connection and use.

About Works with Mijia

"Works with Mijia" indicates that the product is designed to connect and interact with the Mi Home app or Mi AI. The product's app interaction has been certified by Mijia. Xiaomi and Mijia are not responsible for the product's manufacturing, safety, regulatory standards, or quality supervision.

Gateway Reset Button & Camera Power Button Functions

Gateway Reset Button: Long press for 8 seconds. If the indicator flashes yellow, the gateway is successfully reset.
Camera Power Button:
- Power On: Long press for 2 seconds. The indicator flashes green once.
- Power Off: Long press for 2 seconds. The indicator flashes red once.
- Reset: Long press for 8 seconds. The indicator flashes blue.

Playback

The playback feature is available only when a compatible microSD card is installed in the gateway and the security camera is turned on. Videos are recorded automatically. To access playback, open the IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera control interface in the Mi Jia app, tap "Playback", and select the desired time period.

Real-Time Monitoring

Launch the Mi Jia app and select your connected "IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera" via the "IMILAB Wire-Free Camera Gateway" to monitor your surroundings in real-time. The camera's control interface allows for screen capture, screen recording, and remote communication.

Supporting Infrared Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to night vision mode using the IR-CUT filter based on ambient light detected by the photosensor. With eight infrared illuminators, the security camera can view up to 9 meters and capture clear images in darkness.

Shared Remote Viewing

You can share your security camera's view through the IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera control interface in the Mi Jia app. Navigate to General Settings, select "Share device", and invite friends. Your friends will need to download the Mi Jia app and log in with their Xiaomi account.

Automatic Monitoring

Configure this feature via the Mi Jia app: "IMILAB WireFree Camera GateWay" -> "IMILAB Wire-Free Home Security Camera" -> "Automatic Monitoring". The device detects movement within its field of view, records a video, and sends a notification. Users can customize security times, alarm sensitivity, and time intervals.

Precautions

Operating Temperature: -20°C to 50°C. Do not use outside this range.
Charging Temperature: 0°C to 45°C. Do not charge outside this range. Using or charging in low temperatures may affect standby time.
Lens Placement: Avoid placing the camera lens facing or near reflective surfaces (e.g., glass windows, white walls) to prevent image distortion (overly bright near areas, dark far areas, or white images).
Wi-Fi Signal: Install in areas with good Wi-Fi reception. Keep the camera away from metal structures, microwave ovens, or other signal-impacting locations.
Battery Safety: Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself; there is a risk of explosion if not replaced properly. Batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat (sunlight, fire, etc.).
Battery Life: To preserve battery life, avoid prolonged use of the Real-Time Monitoring feature while charging.
