System Overview

This guide illustrates the base application setup for the RC-SDA+ Gen2™ system by Sound Control Technologies. It details the connections between the RC-SDA+ Gen2™ unit, various input devices, output devices, and control peripherals.

RC-SDA+ Gen2™ Unit Connections

The RC-SDA+ Gen2™ unit serves as the central hub for audio and video control. The rear panel features a comprehensive set of ports for integration.

Rear Panel Ports:

Control/IR: For control and infrared signals.
Audio Output: For audio signal output.
HDMI Output 1: Primary HDMI output.
3rd Party RS-232: Connection for third-party RS-232 devices.
HDMI Output 2: Secondary HDMI output.
G RX TX: General purpose receive/transmit data port.
Audio GRL: Ground connection for audio.
USB 2.0 Audio: For USB audio devices.
USB 3.0 Unified: High-speed USB 3.0 connection.
Power +30VDC: Connection for the power supply.

Input and Output Device Connections:

The system supports connections to various devices:

From Camera (w/Camera Power): An input for camera signals, potentially including camera power. This connection uses an RCC-H030-1.0M HDCI Y Cable to HDMI/DB9.
3rd Party HDMI Device: Connects to HDMI Output 1 or HDMI Output 2.
3rd Party USB Audio Device: Connects to the USB 2.0 Audio port.
USB 3.0 Connection: An RCC-M003-1.0M USB 3.0 A to A cable connects to the USB 3.0 Unified port.
Control Input: A Sony IP10/RMBR300 or Generic RS232 Controller connects to the Control/IR port or the 3rd Party RS-232 port.
Power Supply: A WPS-12 30VDC Power Supply (100-240V 47-63Hz) connects to the Power +30VDC port. This power supply is typically integrator supplied.
3-Pin Phoenix to 8Pin Din: An integrator-supplied connector for specific signal routing.

The system is designed to interface with Poly RPG300, RPG500, RPG700 & G7500 devices.

Optional Configurations

Sound Control Technologies offers optional configurations for enhanced connectivity:

Poly-Supplied Cable, or
RC7-PD2™ Kit or RC4-E4P™ Kit

Additionally, a Poly-Supplied #2457-64356-001 Cable is available, which is a 3 Meter HDCI to Mini HDCI cable. A 10 Meter cable of this type is not supported.
