ROSENTORP Extendable Table Assembly Instructions
This document provides detailed instructions for assembling the IKEA ROSENTORP extendable table.
General Assembly Information
Before you begin, please read these instructions carefully. Ensure you have all parts and hardware listed. It is recommended to assemble the table on a soft surface, such as a rug or the packaging material, to prevent scratches.
Tools Required:
- Phillips head screwdriver [screwdriver]
- Flat head screwdriver [screwdriver]

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Frame
Lay out the main frame components on your protected surface. Attach the side frame pieces to the central support structure using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure.

Step 2: Attach Dowels
Insert 8 dowels (Part No. 101350) into the pre-drilled holes on the frame components. Gently tap them in if necessary.

Step 3: Connect Frame Sections

Step 4: Secure Frame Further
Use 2x bolts (Part No. 156685) to further secure the frame. The diagram shows a bolt being inserted and tightened.

Step 5: Attach Support Brackets

Step 6: Connect More Frame Pieces
Connect additional frame pieces. Use 4x screws (Part No. 100325) and 2x screws (Part No. 109021) to attach part 10082399 to the frame.

Step 7: Attach Locking Mechanism
Attach the locking mechanism components (Part No. 10062668) to the frame using 1x screw (Part No. 10082205) and 1x screw (Part No. 10064763). The diagram shows the mechanism being assembled onto the frame.

Step 8: Secure Locking Mechanism
Secure the locking mechanism further. Use 2x screws (Part No. 100325) and 2x screws (Part No. 109021) to attach the mechanism to the frame.

Step 9: Prepare Tabletop Supports
Take the two long tabletop support pieces. Insert 4x dowels (Part No. 101350) into the pre-drilled holes on these pieces.

Step 10: Attach Supports to Frame
Attach these prepared tabletop supports to the main frame. Use 10x bolts (Part No. 154954) to secure them. The diagram shows bolts being screwed into the supports and frame.

Step 11: Connect Tabletop Rails
Attach the tabletop extension rails to the frame. Use 2x bolts (Part No. 154409) for this step. The diagram shows the rails being attached.

Step 12: Secure Tabletop Rails
Secure the tabletop extension rails further. Use 10x nuts (Part No. 113434) to fasten them to the frame. The diagram shows nuts being tightened onto bolts.

Step 13: Insert Extension Mechanism
Slide the extension mechanism components into the rails attached to the frame. An arrow indicates the direction of insertion.

Step 14: Attach Extension Slides
Attach the extension slides to the frame. Use 2x screws (Part No. 100325) and 2x screws (Part No. 109021) with bracket 122483. The diagram shows the slides being screwed into place.

Step 15: Attach Additional Supports
Attach additional support pieces to the frame. Use 2x bolts (Part No. 154409) to secure them.

Step 16: Attach Locking Components

Step 17: Secure Locking Mechanism

Step 18: Attach Leg Connectors

Step 20: Attach Tabletop

Step 21: Prepare Legs

Step 22: Attach Legs to Frame

Step 23: Secure Legs

Step 24: Attach Final Leg Brackets

Step 25: Final Leg Attachment
Insert 4x dowels (Part No. 107271) into the top of the legs. Then, attach the legs to the tabletop frame. The diagram shows the dowels being inserted and the legs being attached.

Step 26: Position the Table

Step 27: Attach Tabletop Mechanism
Attach the tabletop extension mechanism components to the underside of the tabletop. Use 1x screw (Part No. 10082205) and 1x screw (Part No. 10064763) with part 10082399. The diagram shows the mechanism being screwed into the tabletop.

Step 28: Secure Tabletop Mechanism
Secure the tabletop extension mechanism. Use 2x screws (Part No. 109021) and 2x screws (Part No. 10082399). The diagram shows the mechanism being attached to the tabletop.

Step 29: Extend the Table
To extend the table, unlock [unlock] the mechanism and pull the tabletop sections apart [arrow-right]. The diagram shows the extension process.

Step 30: Attach Extension Leaf Supports

Step 31: Lock the Tabletop
