Connecting the Headset
Connecting to Base Station
Connect the headset to compatible Snom base stations (e.g., D7xx series, D787, D785, D735, D717, D713) using the provided cables. The base station has ports for EHS (#1 and #2) and a PHONE JACK. Ensure correct cable connections as illustrated.

Connecting to PC, Laptop, or Notebook
Connect the headset base station to your computer via USB (E) for softphone or VoIP applications. The base station requires power from the adapter (A).

Installing and Charging the Battery

Audio Settings and Operation
Audio Settings
Adjust audio settings using the switches on the headset base:
- AutoAns: Toggle between ON and OFF.
- WB/NB: Select Wideband (WB) or Narrowband (NB) audio quality.

Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call, simply remove the headset from its charging cradle.
Adjusting for Optimal Sound Quality
For Snom phones, set the audio switch to Position A. For other brands, adjust settings until the audio clarity is satisfactory.
Features
The headset features a magnetic charging mount for easy placement.
Controls:
- Volume: Adjust volume using the dedicated buttons on the headset.
- Microphone: Mute or unmute the microphone by pressing the designated button.
Call Handling:
- Accept/Terminate Call: Press the key once.
- Make Call: Press the key once, then dial the number using the phone's keypad.
LED Indicator: A red, flashing light indicates status, such as pairing mode or low battery.

Base Station, Power Adapter, and Battery
CAUTIONS: Use only the Snom Technology-provided power adapter (VTPL models VT08EEU55100/VT08EUK55100) and rechargeable batteries (BT291865, Li-Ion Polymer, 3.7V 140mAh). Using incorrect battery types may lead to leakage, fire, or explosion. Dispose of used batteries properly.
Placement and Operation
This device is designed for professional, indoor use only. Install the power adapter near the equipment and ensure easy access. Avoid placing cords where they can be tripped over or damaged. Operate within a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C (32°F to +122°F) with humidity up to 95% (non-condensing). Do not install in humid areas or immerse the product in water. Do not use in potentially explosive environments (e.g., paint shops) or if you detect gas odors.
Medical Devices
DECT devices may interfere with inadequately shielded medical devices. Consult a physician or the manufacturer if you have concerns. Switch off the device in healthcare facilities if signs instruct you to do so.
Implanted Medical Devices (Pacemakers, etc.)
Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm (7.8 inches) from implanted medical devices. Do not carry the headset in a breast pocket. Wear the headset on the ear opposite the medical device. Turn off the headset immediately if interference is suspected. Always follow the medical device manufacturer's instructions.
Hearing Aids
The headset may cause background noise for users with hearing aids.
Small Children
Keep the device and accessories away from small children, as they may contain small parts.
Operating Environment
Follow local regulations and switch off the device where its use is prohibited or may cause interference or danger. Do not place magnetic storage media near the device, as data may be erased.
Potentially Explosive Environments
Switch off the device in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres and follow all instructions. Sparks can cause explosions or fires. Avoid use near fuel pumps, in chemical plants, or during blasting operations. This includes areas like boat decks, fuel transfer facilities, and vehicles using LPG.
Sensitive Electronic Equipment
Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm (3.94 inches) from sensitive electronic equipment, even when the phone is in standby mode.
Electrical Surges
Consider installing an AC surge protector to safeguard against damage from lightning or other electrical surges.
Battery Information
Use only Snom-approved batteries. Avoid extreme temperatures, low air pressure, and disassembly. Charge batteries only in the headset or base station. New batteries require 2-3 charge/discharge cycles for full performance. Batteries have a limited lifespan. Do not short-circuit or use damaged batteries/chargers. Store batteries away from heat. Charge within 0°C to +50°C. Avoid overcharging. Remove battery if storing for over a month. Store in a cool, dry place. Dispose of batteries responsibly; do not incinerate or crush.
Cleaning
Use an anti-static cloth. Avoid water and cleaning products that could damage the device.
Disposal
Dispose of the device and batteries according to local regulations (e.g., European Directives 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/EC). Do not dispose of with general household waste.
