Getting Started
Initial Setup and Charging
Before first use, please read the 'Safety and use instructions' booklet carefully.
The image shows the robot vacuum cleaner, its charging station, and a power adapter.
1. Connecting the Charging Station:
- Connect the power adapter to the power jack on the side of the charging station. Use only the charger provided with the robot; do not use universal chargers.
- Plug the power cord into the main socket. When the power cord is plugged in, check the upper side of the base; a green light should be illuminated.
Positioning the Docking Station:
- Ensure there is an empty area of 1 meter (approx. 3.3 ft) on each side and 2 meters (approx. 6.6 ft) in front of the docking station.
- Do not install the docking station near stairs.
- The cable must be tight and properly connected.
- Always place the docking station on a hard floor. Do not place it on carpet.
Illustrations show common household items and situations to keep clear of the robot's path to prevent it from getting stuck or encountering difficulties. These include furniture like stools and tables, cables, bags, remote controls, books, liquids, and children's toys. It also highlights areas to avoid, such as staircases, marked with a red cross (❌).
2. Charging the Robot:
- To charge the robot, turn it on by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds (⏱️ 3s).
- Place the robot on the docking station, ensuring the charging plates on the robot touch those on the docking station.
- When the ON/OFF button blinks (?), the robot is charging. Once the button stops blinking, the robot is fully charged (approximately 6 hours).
Operation
Drop Sensors: The robot is equipped with drop sensors to detect stairs and gaps. When detected, the robot will change direction. To ensure accurate detection of floor level differences, make sure there are no objects (e.g., bags, shoes) on the floor next to gaps, stairs, or on the stairs' steps. The step must be more than 10 cm (approx. 4 inches) away to be detected.
Starting a Cleaning Session: Press the Start button (▶️) on the robot.
Ending a Cleaning Session: Press the button on the robot (⏹️).
Returning to Docking Station: Press the robot's button twice.
Cleaning Modes:
- Edge Mode (?): Use this mode to clean along walls and in corners.
- Random Mode (?): Use this mode to clean all accessible areas of your home.
Using the Tefal Robots App
To fully benefit from your robot's capabilities, download the free 'Tefal Robots' app from the App Store (?) or Google Play (▶️). You can use the QR code provided in the manual to find the app. Follow the instructions within the app to enjoy your robot.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Dust Collector
The dust collector (?️) should be emptied and cleaned at least once a week. Push the button on the back of the robot and pull out the dust container. Flip off the cover to empty it.
Cleaning and Replacing Filters
To clean the filters (?️), remove them from the dust container. Tap the filter grid gently over a garbage bin to shake off dust. Wash the foam filter, filter grid, and dust container with clean water. Do not wet the fine dust filter (white filter). Let all parts dry completely (approximately 12 hours) before reassembling.
Replace the fine dust and foam filters with new ones every 6 months to maintain optimal performance.
Cleaning and Replacing Brushes
Main Brush (?): Clean the main brush weekly. Turn the robot upside down, open the brush guard by pushing the latches, and pull out the brush. Use scissors (✂️) to cut off any hair or threads wrapped around the brush. Clean the brush with a dry cloth (?).
Side Brushes: Clean the side brushes with a dry cloth (?). Replace them every 6 months.
General Maintenance
- Before touching sensitive parts of the robot, ensure it is turned off by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds (⚠️).
- Clean the robot's charging plates, drop sensors, distance sensor, and the docking station's charging plates weekly with a dry soft cloth (?).
Maintenance Schedule Summary
The following table summarizes recommended cleaning and replacement frequencies:
Component | Cleaning Frequency | Replacement Frequency |
---|---|---|

Filter | Once a week | Twice per year |
Main Brush | Once a week | If required |
Side Brushes | Once a month | Twice per year |
Charging Base | Once a week | Not applicable |
Fall Sensors | Once a week | Not applicable |

Disposal and Battery Information
Disposal
Do not dispose of the robot with household waste (❌). Always wear gloves and protective gear (??️) when handling the robot for disposal.
Battery Removal and Recycling
Attention: Before removing the battery (?), turn off the robot by holding the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds (⏹️). Turn the robot upside down to access the battery slot. Remove the battery by pressing the snap latches and pulling it up. Disconnect the battery from the robot. Recycle the battery and robot.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter problems with your appliance, consult the following guide.
General Issues
- Charger is getting hot: This is normal. The vacuum can remain connected to the charger without risk.
- Charger connected but appliance not charging: Check charger connection or contact an Approved Service Centre.
- Appliance stops during use: May be overheating (turn off and cool for at least 1 hour) or low battery (recharge). Contact service if overheating repeats.
- Power brush not working properly or making noise: Check for obstructions in the brush or hose, or if the brush/belt is worn. Clean obstructions or contact service for replacement.
- Power brush stops during vacuuming: Safety function triggered. Check for obstructions, remove them, clean the brush, and restart.
- Vacuum cleaner not vacuuming well, making noise, or whistling: Check for blocked intake channel, full dust collector, incorrectly fitted dust collector, clogged intake head, or saturated protective foam filter. Unblock channels, empty collector, refit collector, clean head, clean filter as needed.
