Operation Instructions
1. Inserting the Battery
Open the battery compartment using a screwdriver and insert 2xAAA batteries, observing polarity. Remove batteries if the instrument is not used for a long time.
2. Switching ON/OFF
Press the power button to turn the device on. Press and hold the power button for over 3 seconds to turn it off. The device automatically shuts off after 3 minutes of inactivity.
3. Level Measurement
Turn on the tool and place it in the desired position. The display auto-rotates 180° for easier reading. Auto-rotation is triggered when the device rotates more than 90° from its starting point and continues to rotate more than 10°.
4. Unit of Angle Measurement Selection
After powering on, the screen shows the slope in degrees. Short-press the mode button to cycle through units: Degrees (°), Percent (%), mm/m, and IN/FT (pitch readings in 1/8-inch/feet increments).
5. Angle Measurement Range Selection
The tool can display measurements from 0-90° or 0-180°. Press and hold the 90°/180° button for 2 seconds to switch between ranges. The display shows an icon for the selected range (90° or 180°).
6. Zero Function
To set a reference plane, short-press the zero button. The current angle is set to ZERO, and the zero indicator will flash on the display. Once it stops flashing, the device is in relative angle measurement mode. Press the zero button again to return to absolute level measurement.
7. Hold Function
To freeze the current measurement for easier reading, short-press the hold button. A hold indicator will appear on the display. Press the hold button again to return to measuring mode. The measurement value remains on the display until the button is pressed again.
8. Audible Buzzer
When the tool is on, press the buzzer button. The buzzer alerts when the device is within +/-1° of horizontal or vertical. The alert frequency changes based on proximity. A continuous alert sounds at perfect horizontal or vertical positions. Press the button again to turn off the buzzer.
