Instrument Set-up
Overview
The safety instructions and user manual must be read and understood by all users before operating the product.
Display
The display shows measurement readings, units, battery status, and icons for measurement modes (Area, Volume, Pythagoras).
Key display elements include:
- Measuring Reference indicator
- Area / Volume / Pythagoras mode indicators
- Main measurement line
- Units indicator
- Battery level indicator
Battery Charging
Charge the device when the battery symbol is empty. The device uses a Type-C USB port for charging.

Operations
Switching ON/OFF
Press the [ON/Measure] button to turn the device ON. The device will automatically switch OFF after 120 seconds of inactivity to save power.
[Illustration: Device showing ON state with laser active, and OFF state after 5 seconds.]
Measuring Single Distance
- Press the [FUNC] button to activate the laser.
- Aim the active laser beam at the target surface.
- Press the [FUNC] button again to take the measurement. The distance is displayed.
Note on Target Surfaces: Measuring errors can occur with colourless liquids, glass, styrofoam, or semi-permeable surfaces. Aiming at highly reflective surfaces or very dark surfaces may increase measuring time.
[Illustration: Steps for measuring single distance.]
Continuous Measuring
- Press and hold the [FUNC] button for 3 seconds to enter continuous measuring mode.
- Aim the active laser beam at the target surface and move the device slowly. The distance is continuously updated on the display.
- Press the [FUNC] button to stop measuring.
Note on Target Surfaces: Similar to single distance measurement, certain surfaces may cause errors or longer measuring times.
