Introduction
This user manual provides instructions for operating the Deli Fingerprint Time Attendance Machine. The machine can be connected to a LAN for attendance management using the "deli Attendance System" software. Attendance reports can also be downloaded via USB flash drive.
Important Notes:
- Use a FAT32 format USB flash drive.

Keyboard Functions
- Exit/Esc: Exit or cancel current settings.
- Menu/Enter: Enter menu management.
- OK: Confirm current settings.
- Power/Symbol/English/Number: Power on/off, switch input modes.
- Up Arrow (▲): Move cursor up.
- Down Arrow (▼): Move cursor down.
- Number Keys (0-9): Enter numerical values and English letters.
Basic Settings
1. Department Setting
Press [MENU] to enter the main menu, select "Department", and press [OK]. Enter the department name using the T9 input method and press [OK] to save. If using the default department, no setting is required.
2. User Registration
Press [MENU] to enter the main menu, select "User" → "Enroll", and press [OK].
- User ID: Enter employee number using number keys.
- Name: Input using T9 method.
- Shift: Press [OK] to set the user's shift.
- Department: Press [OK], then use ▼ to select from the list.
- Fingerprint: Press [OK] to enter fingerprint registration. Scan the same finger three times.
- Password: Enter a 1-6 digit password (optional).
- Privilege: Use ▲/▼ to select administrator permissions.
Recommendation: Download relevant information forms via USB, edit on a computer, and upload to the attendance machine.
3. Set Attendance Rules
Press [MENU] → "Shift" → "Attendance Settings" → [OK]. Set tolerance limits for late arrival and early departure. Also, press [MENU] → "Settings" → "Device" → [OK] to set the invalid time for duplicate attendance records.
4. Set Shifts
Press [MENU] → "Shift" → "Attendance Settings" → [OK]. Select the shift to modify, press [OK] to enter the editing interface. Use ▼/▲ to select the time period and number keys to enter start and end times. Press [ESC] to return.
5. Shift Arrangement for Employees
Press [MENU] → "Shift" → "Shift Settings" → "Shift Arrangement" → [OK]. Choose between department scheduling or user scheduling.
- Method 1: Scheduling by Department: Enter department number, press [OK]. Select the week to modify and enter the corresponding shift number. This is a weekly scheduling method.
- Method 2: Scheduling by User: Enter employee number, press [OK]. Select the date to modify and enter the corresponding shift number. This is a monthly scheduling method, allowing settings for three consecutive months.
Unscheduled departments/users are assigned default shift 1.
Reporting and Communication
1. Download and View Report
Insert a USB flash drive. Press ▼ to select "Report" → [OK]. Select the table to download, input the time period, and press [OK] to initiate the download.
Report Types:
- Attendance Report: Summarized attendance data.
- Abnormal Report: Records of late arrivals, early departures, and absenteeism.
- Employee Attendance Record: Specific attendance dates and times for employees.
- Employee Information Table: User information, adding new users, modifying existing users.
- Attendance Setting: Various attendance time periods and alarm times.
- Shift Setting Table: Employee workdays and attendance time periods.
- Management Log Table: Administrator modification records.
2. Communication Settings (Model 3747)
If "deli Attendance System" is installed, adjust communication settings. Static IP assignment is recommended.
- Press [MENU] → "Settings" → "Communication" → "Dynamic IP Allocation" → [OK].
- Set "Dynamic IP Allocation" to Yes for dynamic assignment or No for static assignment and modify the IP address in the menu.
- Select "IP Address" menu, press [OK], enter the IP address, and press [OK] to save.
Note: The first three segments of the IP address must match the computer's IP address, while the fourth segment must be unique.
Appendices
Appendix I: T9 Input Method Instructions
Use the T9 input method for text entry (e.g., names, department names).
- Press [OK] to activate T9 input.
- Press the # key to switch input methods (English, symbols, Pinyin).
- For example, to type "li": press '5' three times for 'l', then press '4' three times for 'i'.
- For Vietnamese input, press '0' once for '^', then the number key for the desired letter. Press '0' twice for a space. Use ▼/▲ to select tones.
Appendix II: How to Quickly Query Employee Attendance Records
Press [OK] on the initial interface and use your fingerprint to query. Select the date range for the query and press [OK] to display attendance records.
