Samsung "Back to School" Promotion: Terms and Conditions

1. Organizer of the Promotion

The "Back to School" promotion is organized by Samsung Electronics Magyar Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (Samsung Electronics Hungary Private Company Limited by Shares). Purchases made directly through the Samsung online store at https://www.samsung.com/hu/multistore/diakkedvezmenyek_weboldalon are subject to the general terms and conditions found at https://www.samsung.com/hu/estore-gtc/.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To participate in this promotion, you must be at least 18 years old, a legal resident of Hungary, and a natural person with full legal capacity. Participation is valid only during the period specified in section 4.1 of these terms.

Participants must utilize at least one of the discounts (hereinafter referred to as "Discount") listed in Annex 1 of these terms, specifically for products designated as "Promotion Participating Products" (hereinafter referred to as "Promotion Participating Product" or "Participating Product").

Purchases must be made through the Samsung student webshop, accessible at https://www.samsung.com/hu/multistore/diakkedvezmenyek_weboldalon (hereinafter referred to as "Samsung student webshop" or "Webshop").

If a participant is under 18 but has limited legal capacity, they may only use the Discounts with their legal guardian, after presenting the legal guardian's identification.

If a participant is 18 years old but lacks legal capacity, only their legal guardian may act on their behalf, after presenting their identification.

3. Subject of the Promotion

Participants can avail the following discounts within the scope of this promotion:

Participants are entitled to use one (1) Discount during this promotion. This discount will be applied as a price reduction (hereinafter referred to as "Price Discount") under the conditions and during the period specified in these terms.

The percentage-based price discount will be deducted from the end-user price of the respective Promotion Participating Product.

This promotion is exclusively valid for purchases made through the Samsung student webshop and cannot be combined with other promotions, price discounts, or special offers.

Discounts cannot be combined; only one (1) Discount can be applied per purchase during the Promotion Period.

Discounts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.

If a participant purchased Promotion Participating Products under a promotional offer where a discount was applied based on the quantity or total value of the purchased products, and the participant withdraws from the contract for some of the Promotion Participating Products, Samsung will refund the corresponding portion of the price paid by the participant. The refund will be calculated as if the participant had purchased the Promotion Participating Products at the original, non-discounted price, provided that the withdrawal makes the purchase no longer eligible for the promotion's discount conditions.

4. Promotion Period

The promotion runs from August 01, 2025, 10:00 AM to August 18, 2025, 09:00 AM, or until the stock of Promotion Participating Products in the Samsung student webshop is depleted, or until the promotion is withdrawn (hereinafter referred to as "Promotion Period").

Samsung can only provide the promotion during the Promotion Period, or while stocks of Promotion Participating Products last in the Samsung student webshop.

5. Taxation, Costs

Any tax obligations related to the Discounts will be borne by Samsung. Samsung has no further obligations beyond providing the Discounts and settling their tax implications.

6. Personal Data

Information regarding Samsung's general data processing activities and data processing related to purchases in the Samsung student webshop can be found at: https://www.samsung.com/hu/helyi-adatkezelesi-tajekoztato/.

Samsung informs participants that, in connection with this promotion, Samsung will not process any personal data beyond what is specified in the Samsung Webshop Data Processing Policy.

7. Miscellaneous Provisions

Samsung is not responsible for any failure or delay in providing the Discounts due to reasons beyond Samsung's control, nor for any damages incurred during the delivery process.

Samsung reserves the right to modify the terms of the promotion without prior notice, including the right to terminate the promotion. Any modifications will be announced through the same channels as other promotion communications, and such modifications will take effect from the date of announcement. Participants can exercise their rights acquired up to the date of modification. It is recommended to read the terms and conditions carefully, paying attention to any potential modifications, to ensure you are aware of the current promotion terms. Participation in the promotion is voluntary. Limitations and exclusions of liability related to the promotion apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Samsung disclaims liability for any external SQL attacks targeting the Samsung Webshop or its servers. Therefore, Samsung assumes no responsibility if participants receive erroneous system messages related to the promotion due to such attacks.

Samsung disclaims liability for any malfunction of the Samsung Webshop or the usability of the Discounts due to reasons beyond its control, during which the website may be unavailable or have limited functionality. However, Samsung will take immediate action to identify and resolve the cause of the issue as soon as possible.

Samsung reserves the right to exclude any participant from the promotion if any form of (computerized) manipulation, mass generation of email addresses, or any behavior inconsistent with or detrimental to the spirit of the promotion is detected or reasonably suspected.

Samsung is not responsible for any loss of data if a participant closes the browser window before completing the purchase, or if the connection to the web server is interrupted for any reason.

Samsung cannot be held liable for the incorrect advertising of the promotion if it occurs due to reasons beyond its control and without its approval.

Furthermore, Samsung is not liable for any non-pecuniary, indirect, or consequential damages, costs, or expenses incurred by the participant or third parties in connection with or based on these terms, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of earnings, damage to commercial reputation, or claims from third parties.

These terms and conditions are governed by Hungarian law. Any legal disputes arising in connection with participation in the promotion shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of Hungarian courts.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under Hungarian law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision (to the extent it is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable) will be separated from these terms. Participants and Samsung will make every reasonable effort to replace the invalidated, illegal, or unenforceable provision with a valid, legal, and enforceable provision that most closely achieves the intended legal effect of the separated provision.

Annex 1: Discounts

1. Discount:

If a participant purchases any Samsung product available in the Samsung student webshop during the Promotion Period, they are eligible for an additional 10% (ten percent) price discount on top of the base 10% (ten percent) offered by the webshop, totaling a 20% (twenty percent) base discount on the end-user price of the Promotion Participating Products, while stocks last or until the promotion is withdrawn.

*The organizer draws the participant's attention to the fact that the following are excluded from the discount: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch Ultra smartwatches, and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone.
