Product Overview
The 2x2 UBR features a Dish Antenna, an Earthing Point, and a LAN + PoE Port with a gland.
Installation Set-up:
The 2x2 UBR with integrated dish antenna has four studs on its backside for attaching the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is designed to mount the UBR on a pole using its attaching parts, allowing for link alignment adjustments for azimuth and elevation.
WARNING: Insecure mounting might damage the device or cause injury. IO by HFCL is not responsible for damages incurred by insecure wall & pole mounting.
Assembly Steps:
- Attach the hood to the UBR using four M6 flange nuts. Ensure the cut in the hood aligns with the lug connector.
- Attach the pole clamp assembly with the riveted U clamp using three M6 hex bolts and split spring lock washers.
- Mount this assembly onto the UBR using three M6 hex bolts and split spring lock washers.
- Mount the assembled UBR onto the pole using two M8 x 220 bolts, four split spring lock washers, and flat washers.
- Slightly loosen the M6 bolts, rotate the brackets to align the pointer mark for optimum azimuth and elevation. Securely tighten the six bolts.
Getting the ion414 Online
Step 1: Power up
Power up the device using the PoE adaptor and a regular Ethernet Cable. Connect the UBR to the PoE adapter's power port and the laptop/computer to the PoE adapter's data port via an Ethernet cable. Use only the HFCL PoE adapter for powering the UBR. Plug and adapter may vary by country/region.
Step 2: Login and Configure the UBR
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your laptop/computer to the data port on the PoE adapter.
- Connect the UBR's PoE supported Ethernet port to the PoE adapter's power port. The device will power on.
- Open a web browser and enter the UBR's IP address. The default static IP address for the 2x2 UBR is
192.168.1.1
. - A login screen will appear. Enter the default login credentials: User:

, Password:HFcl!@23#ion
. - Refer to the user manual on io.hfcl.com for detailed configuration information.
Step 3: Check the LED status
LED Color | Status | Description |
Green LED (Power indication) | Solid Green | Notifies the user that the device is powered ON |
BLUE LED (RSSI/Link indication) | Single blink | -1 to -50 dBm |
Double blink | -51 to -60 dBm
Triple blink | Greater than -60 dBm
BLUE LED (Alarm Indication) | Single blink | Minor Alarms |
Double blink | Major Alarms
Triple blink | Critical Alarms |
Note: If the link is down, the link LED will be in a continuous OFF state. During Reboot and Factory Reset, all three LEDs will glow for 7 seconds, and the power LED will continue to glow.
