EasyF Connection System: Simplicity and Savings
The EasyF is an innovative connection concept where the inner conductor of the coaxial cable is directly inserted into the device, improving connection reliability. The absence of F connectors allows for a reduced chassis size and secures the connection of two cables with a single screw.
- Real time savings: Installation is sped up as coaxial cable termination is not required. There is no need for screwing connectors onto the device, which can be difficult in tight spaces.
- Connection reliability: The clamp holding the cables prevents the coaxial cable from coming off.
- Cost savings: No additional connectors (F or IEC) are required.
- Space optimization: Inputs and outputs are located on the same side, preventing coaxial cable bending and making work inside cabinets and register boxes easier.
Very Easy Three-Step Mounting:
- Unscrew the device's cover to access the connection point.
- Insert the previously stripped coaxial cable.
- Close the cover and screw to ensure connection.
With EasyF, the connection between the coaxial cable and the device is made using an automated system for contact insertion of the inner conductor, without soldering. This increases the device's operating life as the factor of solder wearing out over time is removed, leading to a reduction in failure rate usually caused by cold soldering joints.
Environmental Commitment
Televes' commitment with the environment is reinforced through the elimination of pollution caused by welding processes and reduced production power consumption, contributing to electromagnetic behaviour optimization for high frequencies.
Application Example
The diagram illustrates a typical SMATV system setup. It shows an antenna receiving signals, connected to an amplifier, followed by a DAT BOSS device, and then a splitter. The signal is distributed from the splitter to a Set-Top Box (STB) and potentially other devices. The diagram indicates that DC power can pass from the outputs to the input. Note: Exceeding indicated values can cause irreversible errors.
