Connection Plan
The diagram shows the terminal connections for the Fan Coil controller. Power supply details and Modbus RTU connections are also indicated.
Display Panel
The display panel provides information on the day of the week, time, settings, bus communication, setpoint values, device functions, operating mode, fan stage, and sensor values. It also includes control elements and additional symbols to indicate various statuses such as cooling active, fan active, heating active, automatic mode active, error messages, and warning signs.
Device Configuration
This section details how to configure the device, including accessing the parameter menu, setting passwords, and configuring various parameters such as Modbus address, baud rate, parity, stop bits, temperature offsets, screensaver mode, day/period settings, and factory reset options. It also explains key lock selection and display settings.
Controller Output Signal
The fan coil controller is designed for fan coil units with 2- or 4-pipe systems for heating and cooling. It outputs a proportional control signal (0..10 V) for the manipulated variable. The type of valve used is set via configuration registers. EC-Fan control is also supported via the analog output.
Functional Description
The controller offers various operating modes including Cooling, Auto, Ventilation, and Heating. It supports Standby, ECO-Mode, and ON states. The fan stage can be adjusted automatically based on controller variables. Setpoint adjustment is available within a defined range. The device includes temperature sensor inputs for internal and external sensors, with options for temperature limitation. The 'Auto Fan Control Logic' section describes how fan speed is managed based on heating and cooling demands.
Register Description
This comprehensive table lists all input and holding registers, their addresses, access types (Read/Write), descriptions, and value ranges. It covers parameters like Thermokon model identification, firmware version, fan state, output valve states, external temperature sensor readings, failure status, external inputs, humidity and CO2 sensor values, and various configuration settings for the controller.
Analog Output (AO1) Terminal 11
This section details the function of Analog Output 1 (AO1) on terminal 11. It specifies AO1 functions such as EC-fan, CO2 sensor value, CO2 controller, 6-way valve, and cooling valve control. It also outlines the voltage outputs for heating and cooling, CO2 controller voltage limits, and AO1 controller minimal/maximal values, including Live Zero configuration.
