Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your EQUINOX Series detector.

  1. Attach Coil to Lower Shaft:
    1. Insert the two rubber washers into the holes on each side of the coil mount.
    2. Slide the coil mount onto the coil. Ensure the spring on the lower shaft is underneath.
    3. Insert the plastic bolt through the mount and coil.
    4. Tighten the plastic bolt – do not overtighten.
  2. Assemble Shafts:
    1. Loosen the cam lock by turning it counter-clockwise.
    2. Press the spring on the lower shaft and slide it into the middle shaft until the pin reaches the adjustment hole. The pin will lock into place.
    3. Attach the middle shaft to the upper shaft in the same manner.
    4. Lock the shaft positions by turning the cam locks clockwise.
  3. Attach Armrest/Mount:
    1. Place the armrest onto the upper shaft. Position the armrest just below your elbow, aligning the center hole of the armrest with the nearest hole on the shaft.
    2. Insert the screw through the mount, upper shaft, and armrest. Tighten the screw carefully.
    3. With the velcro side facing up, thread the armrest strap through both slots in the armrest. Ensure the end of the strap will tie out of your arm's way.
  4. Connect Coil:
    1. Wrap the coil cable around the lower shaft up to the center for attachment.
    2. Use the provided velcro tab to secure the coil cable to the shaft.
    3. Align the coil connector and plug it into the socket on the rear of the control box, secure the retaining ring.
