Installation Instructions
Step 1: Insert Disk
Place the 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD into the Axagon caddy. Ensure the drive's connectors align with the caddy's interface. The diagram shows the drive being inserted, with indicators A and B highlighting the alignment points for the SATA data and power connectors.
Step 2: Fix Disk
Secure the 2.5-inch drive to the caddy using the four provided screws. The diagram illustrates inserting screws from the sides of the caddy into the corresponding screw holes on the drive.
Step 3: Set Notebook Type
Determine the correct mounting orientation for your notebook by referencing the labels on the caddy. The diagram shows the caddy with labels A, B, C, and D, each associated with specific notebook brands: A for SONY, B for HP, C for LENOVO, and D for DELL & Other brands.
Step 4: Remove ODD
Carefully remove the existing Optical Disk Drive (ODD) from your notebook's drive bay. ➡️ [Arrow indicating removal]
Step 5: Insert & Fix Axagon ODD Caddy
Insert the Axagon ODD caddy, now containing your 2.5-inch drive, into the notebook's ODD bay. Secure the caddy in place using the notebook's original ODD retention mechanism or screws. The diagram shows the caddy being slid into the bay, with a 'FIX' label indicating the securing point.
