Product Overview
The AXAGON CLR-M2FAN is a high-performance copper heatsink designed to significantly reduce the operating temperature of M.2 SSDs. By dissipating heat effectively, it helps maintain optimal performance and prolong the lifespan of the SSD. The heatsink features an integrated fan for active cooling, connecting via a standard 4-pin fan header.

Installation Instructions: Double-Sided M.2 SSD
This section details the mounting process for M.2 SSDs that have components on both sides.
- Heatsink Preparation: Place the heatsink component on a stable surface.
Visual: The main heatsink body is shown.
- Thermal Pad Application: Apply the provided silicone thermal pads to the M.2 SSD. Place the thick thermal pad on the primary chip side of the SSD, and the thin thermal pad on the opposite side (secondary components).
Visual: Shows an M.2 SSD disk with two thermal pads being applied to its chips. One pad is labeled "THICK PAD UP" and the other "THIN PAD DOWN".
- SSD Placement: Carefully align and place the M.2 SSD disk, with the thermal pads attached, onto the heatsink. Ensure it sits flush.
Visual: The M.2 SSD disk with thermal pads is shown being placed onto the heatsink.
- Metal Frame Installation: Position the metal frame over the M.2 SSD and heatsink assembly. This frame helps secure the components.
Visual: The metal frame is shown being placed on top of the M.2 SSD and heatsink.
- Securing the Assembly: Use the provided screws to fasten the metal frame and M.2 SSD to the heatsink.
Visual: Four screws are shown being used to secure the entire assembly.
Installation Instructions: Single-Sided M.2 SSD
This section details the mounting process for M.2 SSDs that have components only on one side.
- Heatsink Preparation: Place the heatsink component on a stable surface.
Visual: The main heatsink body is shown.
- Thermal Pad Application: Apply the provided silicone thermal pads to the M.2 SSD. Place the thick thermal pad on the primary chip side of the SSD. A thin thermal pad is also applied to the opposite side of the SSD to ensure even contact with the heatsink.
