Connections
The rear panel of the speaker includes the following ports:
- Power Adapter Port
- USB Charge Out Port (for charging other devices)
- AUX Input Port (for wired audio connection)
- Bluetooth Pairing Button (also serves as JBL Connect button)
- Firmware Upgrade Port (for firmware updates only)
Music Control
Control your music playback using the buttons:
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button to play or pause music.
- Next Track: Press the Next Track button to skip to the next song.
- Previous Track: Press the Previous Track button to go back to the previous song.
Bluetooth® Connection
To connect your device via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the speaker is powered on.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button ? on the speaker until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes blue.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Xtreme" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid blue.

Speakerphone
The JBL Xtreme can be used as a speakerphone for calls.
- To answer or end a call, press the Play/Pause button ▶️⏸️.
- To reject an incoming call, press and hold the Play/Pause button ▶️⏸️.
JBL Connect
Wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect compatible speakers together for a more immersive sound experience.
- Press the JBL Connect button ? on each speaker you wish to connect.
- All connected speakers will play the same music from the same source device.
LED Behavior
The LED indicators on the speaker provide information about its status:

Warnings
Splashproof: The JBL Xtreme is splashproof, meaning it can withstand water splashes from any direction. However, it is not waterproof and should not be submerged in water or other liquids, as this may cause permanent damage.
Important:
- To ensure splashproof protection, always remove all cable connections and tightly close the zipper before exposing the speaker to liquids.
- Do not expose the JBL Xtreme to dripping or splashing while it is charging.
