Mechanical Structure and Installation
The V2-PD controller features an LED output terminal for connecting LED strips and a power input terminal for a power adapter. It includes a single button for control and an LED indicator light.
Dimensions: 110mm (Length) x 57mm (Width) x 28mm (Height).
Power Input Connector: Standard 2.1mm inner diameter, 5.5mm outer diameter DC barrel jack.
Wiring Diagram Description: Connect a 5-24VDC power adapter to the power input terminal. Connect the LED strip to the LED output terminal, observing polarity. The output terminal has connections for V+ (common positive), WW (Warm White), and CW (Cool White).
Note on Wiring: Black wire is typically '+', Green wire is 'WW', and Red wire is 'CW' when connecting to the LED strip.
Key Functionality
The single button on the V2-PD controller offers multiple functions:
- Short Press: Turns the connected LED light ON or OFF.
- Double Press: Cycles through three preset color temperatures (Warm White, Neutral White, Cool White). After selecting a color temperature, it enters the long-press mode for color temperature adjustment. If no operation is performed for 5 seconds, it automatically returns to the long-press brightness adjustment mode.
- Long Press (1-6 seconds): Adjusts brightness or color temperature. The direction of adjustment (increase/decrease) reverses each time the button is released and pressed again. By default, it adjusts brightness.
An LED indicator on the controller provides status feedback during operation.
RF Pairing and Control
The V2-PD can be paired with Skydance RF 2.4GHz tunable white remote controls or used as a remote itself to control other compatible LED controllers or dimming drivers.
Pairing V2-PD with RF Remotes (Power-on Pairing Method)
To Pair:
- Disconnect power from the V2-PD.
- Reconnect power, then disconnect again.
- Reconnect power.
- Immediately short press the ON/OFF button (on a single-zone remote) or the zone button (on a multi-zone remote) 3 times quickly.
- The indicator light on the V2-PD will flash 3 times to confirm successful pairing.
To Delete All Paired Remotes:
- Disconnect power from the V2-PD.
- Reconnect power, then disconnect again.
- Reconnect power.
- Immediately short press the ON/OFF button (on a single-zone remote) or the zone button (on a multi-zone remote) 5 times quickly.
- The indicator light on the V2-PD will flash 5 times to confirm that all paired remotes have been deleted.
Using V2-PD as an RF Remote
The V2-PD can control other compatible RF tunable white LED controllers or dimming drivers. It supports synchronized control when multiple V2-PD units are used together.
Pairing/Deletion Methods:
Method 1: Using the Controller's Pairing Button
To Pair:
- Short press the pairing button on the target controller or dimming driver.
- Immediately short press the button on the V2-PD unit.
- The indicator light on the target device will flash rapidly, indicating successful pairing.
To Delete:
- Press and hold the pairing button on the target controller or dimming driver for 5 seconds.
- The indicator light on the target device will flash rapidly, indicating that the pairing has been deleted.
Method 2: Using Power-on Pairing (Same as described above for pairing V2-PD with remotes)
To Pair:
- Disconnect power from the target controller/driver.
- Reconnect power, then disconnect again.
- Reconnect power.
- Immediately short press the button on the V2-PD unit 3 times quickly.
- The indicator light will flash 3 times to confirm successful pairing.
To Delete All Paired Remotes:
- Disconnect power from the target controller/driver.
- Reconnect power, then disconnect again.
- Reconnect power.
- Immediately short press the button on the V2-PD unit 5 times quickly.
- The indicator light will flash 5 times to confirm that all paired remotes have been deleted.
Dual Color Temperature Control
The V2-PD controller supports dual color temperature LEDs (Warm White - WW, Cool White - CW). Each channel can handle up to 48W at 24VDC.
Color Temperature and Power Distribution
The controller allows for flexible power distribution between WW and CW channels to achieve different color temperatures:
- Cool White (CW only): WW=0W, CW=48W
- Neutral White (Mixed): WW=24W, CW=24W
- Warm White (WW only): WW=48W, CW=0W
Color Temperature Range:
- Warm White: Minimum 2700K
- Neutral White: Approximately 4000K
- Cool White: Maximum 6500K
Brightness Curve: The controller uses a Gamma 1.0 curve for dimming, ensuring a smooth and linear perceived brightness adjustment from 1% to 100% of the PWM duty cycle.
