4.1 Airofit PRO 2.0 System Description
The Airofit PRO 2.0 system consists of the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer unit and the Airofit mobile application. The mobile application works with the device's sensors to provide training information and progress tracking. The respiratory trainer provides resistance to your breathing, both inhalation and exhalation. The application guides your breathing training and monitors your performance over time.
4.2 About Airofit PRO 2.0
The Airofit PRO 2.0 features the following components:
- A: Power Button: Press the power button to turn on the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer unit. A flashing green light indicates that the device is on and ready for pairing with the mobile application. To turn off the device, press the power button again.
- B: Removable Electronic Unit: Contains electronic components. Do not immerse the electronic unit in water or expose it to splashing liquids. To clean or charge the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer unit, gently squeeze the grip and remove the electronic unit from the rest of the trainer.
- C: Inhalation Resistance Wheel
- D: Exhalation Resistance Wheel
- E: Trainer Unit: The "Trainer Unit" refers to the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer body after the electronic unit and mouthpiece have been removed.
- F: Removable Mouthpiece: The mouthpiece is made of a softer material than other parts of the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer unit, allowing for comfortable use during exercise. To use the mouthpiece, gently bend the sides and insert it into your mouth.
4.3 Correct Usage of Airofit
When using the Airofit PRO 2.0, relax and sit upright. Looking down may cause saliva to accumulate, so keep your face straight.
Unless absolutely necessary during training, do not hold the Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer with your hand. If it is necessary, place your hand on the top of the electronic unit and ensure the opening near the resistance wheel is not blocked.
Place the device in your mouth, ensuring your lips cover the outer shield of the mouthpiece to create a complete seal. The mouthpiece's anti-choking plug should be held between your teeth.
[Image: Diagram showing correct and incorrect placement of the Airofit PRO 2.0 in the mouth. Correct placement shows a seal around the mouthpiece. Incorrect placement shows a gap.]
When starting an exercise, a short calibration (zeroing) of the breath measurement is required with the Airofit PRO 2.0. During this process, do not inhale into the trainer. When instructed, begin your breathing exercise.
Do not use the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer unit in conjunction with other physical exercises. Performing breathing training simultaneously with other physical activities can impair oxygenation of the exercising muscles.
5. Maintenance
To keep your Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer hygienic and in good condition, follow the guidelines below:
- Before cleaning the device, always remove the electronic unit. Do not immerse the electronic unit in water or expose it to splashing liquids.
- Before reassembling or storing, ensure the device is completely dry.
- To avoid complete battery depletion, if storing for more than one week, fully charge the electronic unit. Recharge before resuming use. (YouTube: Airofit PRO - Care and Maintenance)
Daily Maintenance
Since the device comes into contact with saliva during use, frequent cleaning is important. After each use, it is recommended to rinse the trainer unit and mouthpiece with warm water (below 60°C). After rinsing, shake the trainer unit and mouthpiece well to remove excess water. Ensure the device is completely dry before reassembling.
Weekly Maintenance
Once a week, detach the trainer unit and mouthpiece for a more thorough cleaning. Use a mild dish soap with water to wash the trainer unit and mouthpiece thoroughly. After washing, rinse the trainer unit with running water to flush the interior. After rinsing, shake the trainer unit and mouthpiece well to remove excess water. Ensure the device is completely dry before reassembling.
Monthly Maintenance
To prevent battery drain, charge the electronic unit at least once a month, even if not in use.
6. Getting Started with Airofit PRO 2.0
Mandatory Steps Before First Use
Before starting training, fully charge the E unit until the light turns green. The initial charge may take up to 24 hours. During charging, wash the trainer unit and mouthpiece with lukewarm water, wipe with a clean towel, and allow to air dry. Once the electronic unit is fully charged and the trainer unit and mouthpiece are completely dry, reassemble the respiratory trainer. The electronic unit contains electronic components. Do not immerse the electronic unit in water or expose it to splashing liquids.
Registration Procedure
The Airofit app will guide you through the initial steps.
6.1 Lung Function Test
Follow the instructions in the Airofit application to perform an initial lung function test to assess your respiratory condition. Upon completing the lung function test, an app notification will appear. The lung function test measures the following parameters:
- Accessible Lung Capacity (ALC)
- Maximum Inspiratory Pressure (MIP)
- Maximum Expiratory Pressure (MEP)
These measurements are evaluated based on your profile settings for gender, age, and height. The percentage (0-200%) indicates a comparison method with other users within the same demographic group.
6.2 Starting Training
Based on your selected goals in the Airofit application, training recommendations will be displayed within the application. Prepare the trainer by setting the correct resistance level and begin training according to the application's guidance. Upon completion of the exercise, the results screen will be displayed in the application, showing a summary of your training.
Understanding Training Levels
- Beginner: Low resistance with short breathing cycles
- Intermediate: Medium resistance with moderate breathing cycles
- Advanced: High resistance with long breathing cycles
Understanding Training Duration
Training sessions typically last between 1 to 10 minutes. It is highly recommended to take short breaks every 3 minutes of training.
6.3 Training History
The app includes a training history, allowing you to access your lung function test results and training session data at any time.
6.4 Settings
You can update your profile in the settings. Your account is protected by a password, which can be reset. Background music and guidance sound environment settings can be toggled on/off during training exercises. If you have questions about training, you can click the FAQ button to find answers. If you encounter any issues with the application, you can report them. The app also includes Terms of Use (requires internet connection) and a Privacy Policy, to which your account creation signifies your agreement.
