3. Safety Precautions
3.1 Health Considerations When Using Airofit PRO
To prevent your Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer from being damaged or to prevent you from being injured, read the following precautions in their entirety before using the Airofit system.
- To avoid the possible transmission of infections, it is recommended not to share your Airofit PRO 2.0 with any other user, including family members. Furthermore, your Airofit PRO 2.0 is calibrated for the personalized data of a single user.
- The Airofit PRO 2.0 is manufactured in a safe environment. However, the Airofit PRO 2.0 is not supplied as a sterile device; it is recommended to clean the breathing trainer before use.
- Do not use Airofit PRO 2.0 while performing any other activity (e.g., running, cycling, rowing, driving).
- Do not use Airofit PRO 2.0 for more than 60 minutes a day.
- Breathing training may cause dizziness. It is recommended to remain seated after training and breathe normally for a minimum of 1-2 minutes before engaging in other activities.
- The use of Airofit PRO 2.0 is recommended from 12 years of age. Users under 15 years of age should only use Airofit under adult supervision.
- Stop exercising immediately if you feel any physical discomfort.
- If you feel dizzy or vertiginous while exercising with Airofit, you should stop and check the inspiratory and expiratory resistance settings on the resistance wheel.
- If you have a cold, sinusitis, or any other respiratory tract infection, it is advised to wait until all symptoms disappear before using Airofit PRO 2.0.
- If you have any medical problems with the respiratory system, heart, or blood pressure, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using Airofit PRO 2.0.
- Do not use Airofit to inhale any type of substance.
3.2 Contraindications
To prevent your Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer from being damaged or to prevent you from being injured, read the following precautions in their entirety before using the Airofit system. Be careful in the following situations:
- History of spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung), i.e., not due to traumatic injury.
- A traumatic pneumothorax that has not fully healed.
- A ruptured eardrum that has not fully healed, or other eardrum conditions.
- The subgroup of patients with unstable asthma with an abnormally low perception of dyspnea (shortness of breath) are also unsuitable candidates for inspiratory muscle training (IMT).
3.3 General Safety Precautions
- Use only the Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer in conjunction with the Airofit mobile application and selected sessions and programs. Always adjust the resistance to the recommended values.
- Do not drop your Airofit PRO 2.0. Dropping the breathing trainer may cause malfunction or reduced performance.
- Ensure that the inhalation/exhalation openings on the sides of the Airofit PRO 2.0 are not obstructed during training.
- The e-unit must not be submerged or exposed to water or other liquids.
- Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents, or aggressive liquids, such as gasoline or acetone, to clean the device. The Airofit PRO 2.0 cannot be washed in a dishwasher or autoclave. For cleaning instructions, refer to the Maintenance section.
- Ensure that your Airofit PRO 2.0 remains hygienic and in good working order. Always ensure that your device is dry before storing it. It is recommended to store your Airofit PRO 2.0 properly, clean, and hygienic.
- Exclusively use the magnetic charging cable together with a USB cable with CE certification (please refer to the Technical Specifications).

Your Airofit PRO 2.0 package includes:
- Airofit PRO 2.0 Breathing Trainer
- Magnetic Charging Cable 5
- Airofit PRO 2.0 Quick Guide (in English)
4.1 Description of the Airofit PRO System
The Airofit PRO 2.0 system consists of the Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer and the Airofit mobile application. The breathing trainer provides resistance for both inhalation and exhalation. The application provides guidance for breathing training and monitors performance over time.
4.2 Information about the Airofit PRO 2.0
4.3 How to Use Airofit Correctly
When using the Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer, you should be relaxed and seated upright. Keep your head facing forward, as looking down may cause more salivation. Do not hold the Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer with your hands while training unless absolutely necessary. If so, hold the e-unit and ensure that the openings near the resistance wheels are not obstructed.
Place the device in your mouth so that your lips cover the outer shield of the Mouthpiece and create a complete seal. The bite mouthpiece should be held firmly between your teeth.
When starting the exercise, the Airofit PRO 2.0 requires a brief readjustment (zeroing) of the pressure measurement. Do not breathe into the trainer during this process. Wait for instructions to begin the breathing exercise.
The Airofit PRO 2.0 breathing trainer should not be used in conjunction with other physical activities. Breathing training while performing other physical exercises will compromise the oxygenation of the locomotor muscles.
5. Maintenance
Always remove the e-unit before cleaning the equipment. Do not submerge the e-unit or expose it to water or any other liquid. Ensure that your equipment is completely dry before assembling and storing it. Store your equipment hygienically and safely. To prevent battery depletion, charge the e-unit fully before storing it for more than a week without use. Charge again before reusing.
Daily Maintenance
As the device will be exposed to saliva during use, it is important to clean it frequently. It is recommended to wash the training unit with warm water (below 60 °C) after each use. After washing, shake and blow through the training unit and mouthpiece to remove excess water. Ensure the equipment is completely dry before reassembling.
Weekly Maintenance
Separate the training unit and mouthpiece from the rest of the equipment once a week for a more thorough cleaning. Use a drop of dish detergent in water to thoroughly wash the training unit and mouthpiece. Once washed, keep the training unit under running water, letting it run. After washing, shake and blow through the training unit and mouthpiece to remove excess water. Ensure the equipment is completely dry before reassembling.
Monthly Maintenance
Charge your e-unit at least once a month, even if it has not been used, to prevent battery depletion.
6. Getting Started with Airofit PRO 2.0
Essentials for First Use
Before starting your training, unit E must be fully charged until the light turns solid green. This first charge out of the box may take up to 24 hours. While the e-unit is charging, wash the Training Unit and Mouthpiece with warm water. Dry them with a clean towel and let these parts air dry. When the e-unit is fully charged and the rest of the equipment is completely dry, you can assemble the breathing trainer. The e-unit contains electronic components. It must not be submerged or exposed to water or other liquids.
Registration Procedure
The Airofit application will guide you through the first steps of your Airofit journey.
6.1 Pulmonary Test
According to the instructions in the Airofit application, you will initially perform a pulmonary test to establish your respiratory status. The app notification will appear when you need to perform the pulmonary test.
The pulmonary test records your:
- Accessible lung capacity, your active lung volume (ALC)
- Inhalation strength, your maximum inspiratory pressure (MIP)
- Exhalation strength, your maximum expiratory pressure (MEP)
These measurements are evaluated based on your sex, age, and height (as established in your profile). The percentages (0-200%) show how you compare to other users in the same demographic group as you.
6.2 Starting Training
According to the objective selected in the Airofit application, you will find training recommendations within the application. Prepare your trainer by adjusting the correct resistance levels and follow the app's instructions to start training. Upon completion of the training, the results screen will appear in the app, and you will see a summary of your training.
Understanding Training Levels
- Beginner: Low pressure loads with short breathing cycles
- Intermediate: Medium pressure loads with medium breathing cycles
- Expert: High pressure loads with long breathing cycles
Understanding Training Duration
The training duration can vary between 1 and 10 minutes. It is strongly recommended to take a short break every 3 minutes of training.
6.3 Training History
The application contains your training history so you can access the results of your pulmonary tests and training sessions at any time.
6.4 Settings
You can update your profile in the settings. Your account is protected by a password, which can be reset. You can enable/disable background music preferences and guide sound for your training exercise. If you have any questions about training, you can get an answer by clicking on the FAQ button. You can also report a problem if you find anything incorrect in the application. The application also contains the Terms and Conditions (requires internet connection) and the Privacy Policy, which you accepted when creating your account.
