4. Operation

The Airofit PRO 2.0 pack consists of:

4.1 Description of the Airofit PRO System

The Airofit PRO 2.0 system consists of the Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer and the Airofit mobile application. The respiratory trainer opposes resistance to your inspiratory and expiratory breathing, while the application guides you through your respiratory training and monitors your performance over time.

4.2.1 Power Button

To turn on the Airofit PRO 2.0, press the power button. It will blink green to indicate that the device is on – at this point, you can pair it with the mobile application. To turn off the device, press the power button again.

4.2.2 Removable Mouthpiece

The mouthpiece is made of a softer material than the rest of the Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer to provide total comfort during exercise. To use it, slightly bend the ends of the mouthpiece and then place it in your mouth.

4.2.3 Removable E-Unit

The E-Unit contains electronic components. Do not immerse the E-Unit or expose it to water jets or any other liquid. To clean or charge your Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer, press firmly on the handles and remove the E-Unit from the rest of the trainer.

4.2.4 Training Unit

The term "Training Unit" is used to refer to the Airofit PRO 2.0 once the E-Unit and mouthpiece are removed.

4.2.5 Charging

The charging port is located inside the E-Unit. Connect the magnetic cable to the charger. When the indicator light blinks green, the cable is correctly connected and your E-Unit is charging. Once the E-Unit is fully charged, the green light remains steady.

4.3 Correct Use of Airofit

You should be relaxed and seated upright when using the Airofit PRO 2.0. Keep your head straight, as lowering it may lead to increased salivation. Do not hold the Airofit PRO 2.0 trainer with your hand during training, except in cases of absolute necessity. If you must do so, hold it with your hand at the E-Unit level and ensure that the openings near the resistance wheels are not obstructed.

Place the device in your mouth so that your lips cover the outer protection of the mouthpiece to create a complete seal. The mouthpiece locking device should be held firmly between your teeth.

At the beginning of the exercise, the respiratory trainer requires a short calibration (zeroing) of the pressure measurement. Do not breathe into the device during this process. Wait for instructions to begin the breathing exercise.

The Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer should not be used during physical activity. Respiratory training during physical exercise reduces oxygenation of the locomotor muscles.

5. Maintenance

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your Airofit PRO 2.0 respiratory trainer remains hygienic and in good working order.

5.1 Daily Maintenance

As the device is exposed to saliva during use, it is important to clean it frequently.

We recommend rinsing the training unit and mouthpiece in hot water (below 60°C) after each use. After rinsing, shake and blow into the training unit and mouthpiece to remove excess water. Ensure the device is completely dry before reassembling it. Do not immerse the E-Unit or expose it to water jets or any other liquid.

5.2 Weekly Maintenance

Once a week, separate the training unit and mouthpiece for more thorough cleaning. Use a drop of dish soap to carefully wash the training unit and mouthpiece. After washing, rinse the training unit under running water. After cleaning, shake and blow into the training unit and mouthpiece to remove excess water. Ensure the device is completely dry before reassembling it.

5.3 Monthly Maintenance

Fully charge your E-Unit at least once a month, even if you are not using it, to prevent the battery from discharging completely.

6. Getting Started with Airofit PRO 2.0

6.1 Before First Use

Before starting your training, it is necessary to fully charge your E-Unit until the indicator light turns solid green. This initial charge may take up to 24 hours. While the E-Unit is charging, rinse the training unit and mouthpiece with warm water, wipe them with a clean towel, and let them air dry. When the E-Unit is fully charged and the training unit and mouthpiece are completely dry, you can reassemble the respiratory trainer. The E-Unit contains electronic components; do not immerse the E-Unit or expose it to water jets or any other liquid.

6.1.1 Registration Procedure

The Airofit application will guide you through the first steps of your Airofit journey.

6.1.2 Pulmonary Test

As indicated in the Airofit application, you must start by performing a pulmonary test to assess your respiratory condition. A notification from the application will appear when you need to perform the pulmonary test.

The pulmonary test allows you to record:

These measurements are evaluated considering your sex, age, and height (as defined in your profile). Percentages (from 0 to 200%) indicate how you compare to other users with the same demographic characteristics.

6.2 Starting Training

In the Airofit application, you will find training recommendations based on the objective selected in the application. Prepare your device by adjusting the resistance levels and follow the application's recommendations to start training. When the exercise is finished, a results screen will appear in the application, allowing you to view a summary of your training.

Understanding Training Levels

Understanding Training Durations

Training duration varies between 1 and 10 minutes. We strongly recommend taking a break every 3 minutes of training.

6.3 Training History

The application memorizes your training history to allow you to access your pulmonary test results and your training sessions at any time.

6.4 Settings

You can update your profile in the settings. Your account is secured by a password that can be reset. You can enable/disable background music and guidance sounds. If you have questions about training, you can find answers by clicking the FAQ button. If you detect a problem in the application, you can also report it. The application contains a Privacy Policy and General Terms and Conditions (requiring an internet connection) that you have accepted when creating your account.
