Understanding Your Remote Control

[TV Input]

Cycles through the equipment connected to your TV.

[Format]

Displays current screen FORMAT options and HD resolutions. (Works only with HD Access.)

[Stop]

Stops playback while viewing recorded program.

[Replay]

Replays previous six seconds.

[Rewind]

Rewinds at increasing speeds-press up to four times. Press and hold to jump to previous tick mark.

[Play]

Plays current program.

[Pause]

Pauses current program.

[Guide]

Press once for On-Screen GUIDE. Press twice for programming grouped into categories.

[Red Button]

Jump back 12 hours while viewing the On-Screen Guide.

[Green Button]

Jump ahead 12 hours while viewing the On-Screen Guide.

[Dash]

Press DASH twice to delete recorded shows from your list.

[Mode]

Changes the remote's MODE to control other equipment. (Far-left selection indicates the DIRECTV Receiver.)

[On/Off]

Turns both DIRECTV Receiver and TV ON or OFF at the same time. (Remote must be programmed for TV. DVR still records when off.)

[Power]

Turns On/Off POWER of whichever equipment is selected.

[Advance]

ADVANCE 30 seconds.

[Fast-Forward]

FAST-FORWARD at increasing speeds-press up to four times.

[Exit]

EXIT the menu and return to previous channel viewed.

[Blue Button]

Display a one-line Channel Guide while viewing your program.

[Yellow Button]

Display guide options while viewing the On-Screen Guide.

[Prev]

Return to PREVIOUS channel viewed.

[ScoreGuide™]

Press the RED button to access while watching any sporting event.

[Mute]

MUTE the sound.

[Info]

Display INFORMATION about the program now playing or highlighted in the On-Screen Guide.

[Select]

SELECT item highlighted on-screen.

[Enter]

Press for Mini Guide while viewing your program and dismiss with EXIT. ENTER also replaces TV INPUT button: To cycle through the equipment connected to your TV, press and hold for three seconds until LED light at top turns green. Then, scroll through inputs by pressing ENTER again.

• Select SETTINGS & HELP, SETTINGS, REMOTE CONTROL.

Program Remote (RC73)

For use with the H44 on business accounts.

1. On the remote, press MENU.
2. Select SETTINGS, then REMOTE CONTROL.
3. Select IR/RF SETUP.
4. Press SELECT to highlight remote type.
5. Press the DOWN ARROW to highlight RF.
6. Press SELECT.
7. Select CONTINUE.
8. Once RF setup is complete, select PROGRAM REMOTE to program the remote to the TV.
9. Complete by following on-screen prompts.
