Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Gateway Connection Issues: If the Wi-Fi gateway cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network or the connection is unstable, ensure you are using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5 GHz). Verify the network name and password, avoiding special characters. Place the device within the router's signal coverage, keeping the distance between the gateway and router within 100 meters (328 ft). Minimize barriers such as metal doors or thick walls.
- Thermo-Hygrometer Not Working: Pull out the plastic insulator tab before use. Check that the batteries have a charge and that the sensor is installed correctly.
- Delayed or No Message Alerts: Ensure the necessary permissions are enabled for the Govee Home App. Reduce the distance and barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and the Wi-Fi gateway.
- Faulty Readings or Missing Data: Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and the Wi-Fi gateway. Unpair all H5100 thermo-hygrometers from the device list in the app and then pair them again. Replace the battery if necessary.
