Notifier RLD Remote Display
The RLD is a distance annunciator designed for Notifier INSPIRE™ series fire alarm control panels (FACPs) or network control displays (NCDs). It provides a remote display connected via a serial interface, featuring a five-inch touchscreen for system status, point information, and event counters. The RLD can display up to two events simultaneously and allows system control via six programmable soft-touch buttons, plus dedicated Receive Acknowledge, Silence, Reset, and Exercise buttons.
Generalities
The RLD serves as a remote annunciator for FACPs or NCDs, offering a serial connection. Its five-inch touchscreen displays system status, point information, and event counters, capable of showing two events at once and scrolling through up to 50 prioritized system events. The RLD also facilitates system control through six programmable soft-touch buttons and dedicated Receive Acknowledge, Silence, Reset, and Exercise buttons.
The N16 FACP supports a maximum of 10 RLDs configured as routers, each occupying one of the 10 available router addresses. Routers can be a mix of ACM-30 and RLD units. The RLD does not support peripheral annunciators.

Panel Compatibility
- N16 Series
- NCD
Network Options
Two-wire serial communication with limited power AIO to signaling line circuits for N16 or NCD panels.
Installation
The RLD is mounted in a standard 3-gang electrical box. External connections include the 2-wire serial AIO communication, 24 VDC power input, and ground.
Communication between the RLD and control panels is via a 2-wire, limited-power serial AIO interface, supervised by the fire alarm control panel. Each RLD requires a 24 VDC limited-power supply. Loss of RLD power is registered as a communication failure at the control panel. The RLD can also be powered from a listed, limited-power, regulated remote supply for fire protective signaling use.
Box
- ABB-2: Display box for RLD mounting (requires DP-ADP). UL/ULC listed.
- ABB-2D(C): Surface mount display box. Requires DP-ADP for RLD mounting.
