Notifier CAB-5 Series Cabinets: Rear Boxes with Lockable Doors

This document provides detailed specifications and ordering information for the Notifier CAB-5 series of fire alarm system cabinets, featuring rear boxes with lockable doors.

General Information

All CAB-5 cabinets for fire alarm control panels are constructed from 16-gauge steel. Each cabinet consists of two main parts: a rear box and a lockable door. Cabinets are available in black, with or without windows. The windowed model offers a refined aesthetic that integrates elegantly into the most sophisticated lobby decors.

The key-locked door is equipped with a pin-type hinge for easy door removal during installation. It includes two keys and the necessary hardware for mounting the door to the rear box.
The rear box is designed for simplified installer access. Numerous pre-cut knockouts are provided to facilitate conduit passage into the cabinet with minimal difficulty.
Hinges are field-selectable for right or left-hand swing. The door opens to 120°.
Cabinets are available in five standard sizes, from A (one-level) to E (five-level). Refer to ordering information.
Red optic conduit kits are available to facilitate customization when red cabinets are required.
The cabinet is designed to accommodate two batteries (up to 26 Ampere-hours).

Ordering Information

A complete cabinet includes: a door, trim panels, a rear box, an optional battery tray, and an optional optic conduit kit (red color). For each required cabinet, order a "DR" door, an "SBB" rear box, and trim panels. The BP-5 battery tray is required for each cabinet assembly that mounts batteries and/or a power supply in the lower position of the cabinet.

DP-T2A: Trim panel for installing a 10-inch touchscreen and two ACM-30 annunciators.
DP-4A: Annunciator trim panel. Allows installation of four ACM-30 annunciators.
DP-BLN: Blank trim panel, designed for a CAB-5 level, BLACK finish.
BP-5: Battery tray. Designed to cover the battery and power supply when the lower rear box position is occupied.
DPA-C5: Audio trim panel for C5A-M, with openings for microphone, telephone, and keypad.
DPA-2A5: Audio trim panel for C5A-NW, featuring a keypad opening and a bracket designed to accommodate 2 annunciators.
C5A-M: Audio chassis designed for mounting the DVC and keypad, supplied with microphone and mounting base.
C5A-NW: Audio chassis for mounting the DVC and keypad.
ABP-1: Blank plate for 1 ACM-30.
CHS-CGW: Chassis for mounting the CGW-MB gateway.
TELH-1: Firefighter's telephone handset for use with the DVC-EM when mounted in the C5A-M chassis.
DP-ADP: Adapter plate for mounting the RLD in an ABS-2D or CAB4 cabinet, replacing an LCD-160.
ACM-1DB-RTO: Adapter plate for mounting an ACM-30 in an ABF-1DB, replacing the ACM-24AT or ACM48A.
DP-NCD-2D: Inner trim plate for mounting the NCD in an ABS-2D, replacing the NCA-2.
RLD-1DB-RTO: Adapter plate for mounting the RLD in an ABF-1DB, replacing the LCD2-80.
CGW-DACT-CH: Chassis for mounting the HON-DACT-DS card inside the CAB4/5 cabinet.
SEISKIT-CAB: Seismic mounting kit. Required for seismic-certified applications with CPU-N16LD/LND/RTO and other equipment in CAB-4/5 series cabinets. Includes a battery bracket for two 26 Ah batteries.

CAB-4 Conversion

CHS-ADP: Adapter plate for mounting the CAB-4 series chassis in CAB-5 rear boxes.
DP-4A-CB4: Trim panel allowing the integration of 4 ACM-30s into a CAB-4 cabinet.
DP-T2A-CB4: Trim panel compatible with a 10-inch touchscreen and two ACM-30 annunciators to be installed in a CAB-4 cabinet.

The BP-5 battery tray covers the main power supply and the cabinet batteries. Only one BP-5 is required per cabinet.
