Safety Instructions
- General Information: Please read and follow all safety instructions and keep them for future reference. Check the speaker for any damage before use. Ensure the speaker is in perfect working condition, as damaged parts can cause personal injury.
- Use Only as Directed: Connect the speakers according to the manual's instructions. ELAC speakers may have spikes or anti-slip feet for leveling. Ensure the speaker is vertically aligned for stability to prevent tipping.
- Location: Install speakers on a level surface. Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, extreme temperatures, and proximity to CRT televisions (due to potential magnetic interference) or magnetic cards.
- Overload: Avoid extreme overload due to very high volume, which can damage components. Do not leave speakers unattended under extreme overload conditions.
- Service: Do not open the speaker cabinet, as it contains components with dangerous electrical levels. Servicing should only be performed by qualified service personnel. Servicing is required if the speaker is damaged, exposed to liquid or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Fuse Links: If a fuse blows, replace it only with the correct type and rating as indicated on the loudspeaker. A spare fuse is typically included.
- Cleaning: Clean only with a soft, smooth cloth or dust brush. Avoid scouring agents, alcohol, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage finishes and rubber feet. Consider using an anti-slip mat under the speakers.
- Volume: Continuous high volume can cause severe hearing damage. Listen responsibly.
- Disposal: Dispose of packaging materials responsibly. At the end of its life, do not dispose of the speaker with household waste. Recycle it according to local legislation, as it contains valuable raw materials. Disable the speaker before disposal.
- Power: Connect the subwoofer only to voltages specified on the rear panel. Using incorrect voltages can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty. Avoid using plug adapters that may allow connection to incorrect voltages.
WARNING! Ensure the product is stable to prevent injury from tip-over. Stability can be enhanced with spikes on carpet or adhesive tape on slippery floors. Do not install near heat sources, ventilation openings, or in enclosed spaces. Keep away from open flames. Avoid placing the speaker near transformers, as electromagnetic fields can cause hum noise. Some materials may cause colored imprints on surfaces when in contact with anti-slip feet or spikes.
