General Information and Safety
General Information
- Please read and follow all safety instructions.
- Keep instructions for future reference.
- Observe all warnings on the speaker and in the manual. Check the speaker for damage before use.
- The speaker must be in perfect working condition; damaged parts may cause personal injury.
Use
- Connect the speaker(s) according to the manual's instructions.
- ELAC speakers may have spikes or anti-slip feet for leveling. For uneven floors, adjust these by 2-3 turns of thread. Ensure perfect vertical alignment for stability; do not compromise stability by altering these feet, as the speaker may tip over.
Location
- Install speakers on a level surface only.
- Avoid placing speakers in locations that are:
- In direct sunlight
- Very humid
- Prone to vibrations
- Exceptionally hot or cold
- Near CRT Televisions (speakers are not magnetically shielded and may cause color issues).
- Close to magnetic cards (which may be damaged by the unshielded speakers).
Warnings
- Ensure the product is stable to prevent tip-over injuries. Spikes can improve stability on carpets; use caution with their sharp ends. Velcro or double-sided tape can improve stability on slippery floors.
- Do not install near heat sources (radiators, stoves, amplifiers) or in areas with explosion risk.
- Do not block ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer instructions.
- Do not install in a closed rack or cupboard.
- Do not place burning candles on or near the speaker.
- Avoid placing speakers near transformers, as stray electromagnetic fields can cause hum noise on woofers.
- Certain materials, lacquers, or surfaces may show colored imprints from anti-slip feet or spike washers.
- NOTICE: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
- NOTICE: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - DO NOT OPEN
