Quick Start Guide
1. Overview
This section provides an overview of the Creative Chat Wireless headset and its components.
- (1) Dongle: For wireless connection to your computer.
- (2) Adjustable Headband: Allows for a comfortable fit.
- (3) Plush Foam Earpads: Provides comfort during extended use.
- (4) Noise-cancelling Boom Microphone: Captures your voice clearly while reducing background noise.
- (5) Volume – Button: Decreases the volume.
- (6) Volume + Button: Increases the volume.
- (7) Multifunction Button: Controls power, playback, calls, and Bluetooth pairing.
- (8) USB Port: For charging the headset.
- (9) LED Indicator: Displays status information.
- (10)Mic Mute / Unmute Button: Toggles microphone mute status.
2. Controls and LED Behavior
Understand how to operate the headset and interpret the LED indicator lights.
(A) Power On / Off
- Button: Multifunction Button
- Action: Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn on; press and hold for 6 seconds to turn off.
- LED Indicator:
- Blue LED: On / Paired
- Flashing White LED: Reconnecting
- White LED (solid for 2s): Off
(B) Playback
- Button: Multifunction Button
- Action: Press once (x1) to Play/Pause audio.
- LED Indicator: Blue LED.
(C) Calls
- Button: Multifunction Button
- Action:
- Press once (x1): Answer or End Call.
- Press twice (x2): Redial last number.
- Press thrice (x3): Activate Siri or Google Assistant.
- LED Indicator:
- Flashing Blue LED: Incoming call.
- Blue LED: Call active.
(D) Microphone
- Button: Mic Mute / Unmute Button
- Action: Press once (x1) to mute or unmute the microphone.
- LED Indicator:
- White LED: Microphone Muted.
- Blue LED: Microphone Unmuted.
(E) Bluetooth Pairing
- Button: Multifunction Button
- Action: Press and hold for 4 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- LED Indicator:
- Flashing Blue and White LED: Enter Pairing Mode.
- Blue LED: Connection successful.
(F) Charging
- LED Indicator:
- Flashing White LED: Charging (0-99%).
- White LED (solid): Fully Charged (100%).
3. Wireless Pairing with Dongle
To connect wirelessly using the included dongle:
- Plug the Dongle into a USB-A port on your computer.
- The headset will automatically connect to the Dongle.
4. Creative App
Enhance your product experience with the Creative app. Set up your headset, improve its performance, and access advanced features.
- Access and control the SmartComms Kit, featuring intelligent communication functions like VoiceDetect, NoiseClean-in, and NoiseClean-out for improved online call quality.
- Perform software upgrades and product registration.

6. Master Reset
To reset the headphones to factory settings:
- Press and hold the Volume + and Volume – buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Upon successful reset, you will hear a "beep" sound, and the white and blue LEDs will blink alternately.
- The headphones will then automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
