Quick Start Guide and User Information

1. Overview

The Creative Sound Blaster JAM V2 is a Bluetooth headset designed for wireless audio and communication. It features 32mm neodymium drivers, omni-directional microphones, and supports Bluetooth 5.0 with various audio codecs.

Initial Setup:

It is recommended to charge the headset before first use by connecting it to a computer via USB or a USB power adapter.
Press and hold the Multifunction button for 2 seconds to power the headset on/off.
Connect to an Android or iOS mobile device via Bluetooth to check the headset's battery status.

2. Bluetooth Pairing / Connecting to Audio Source Device

Wireless Pairing:

When the headset is powered off, press and hold the Multifunction button for 4 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing.
On your mobile device, turn on Bluetooth and select "Sound Blaster JAM V2" from the list of discovered Bluetooth devices to pair.

Multipoint Pairing:

Disconnect the headset from the first mobile device before initiating Bluetooth pairing to a second mobile device.
Once paired to the second mobile device, power off, then power on the headset. Ensure Bluetooth is switched on across both mobile devices to achieve multipoint connection.

Wired Connection:

Connect using the included USB-C to USB-A cable. Note: Bluetooth mode is not available when the Sound Blaster JAM V2 is connected to a USB audio source.

3. LED Behavior

The LED indicator provides information about the headset's status:

i) Blinks twice in red: Headset has been powered off.
ii) Blinks twice rapidly in blue: Reconnecting to last paired mobile device.
iii) Blinks in alternating red/blue: Bluetooth Pairing mode.
iv) Blinks slowly in blue: Headset is paired and connected to a mobile device.
v) Blinks in red: Headset’s battery is low (< 10%).
vi) Glows in red: Headset is charging.
vii) Solid red: Headset is fully charged.
viii) Solid green: USB mode.

4. Controls

The headset features several buttons for control:

Multifunction Button: Single press for play/pause/answer/end call, double press for redial (when audio playback is paused), triple press to activate voice assistant (Siri/Google Assistant). Press and hold for 3 seconds to transfer call to mobile device.
Volume + Button: Increases volume.
Volume - Button: Decreases volume.
Bass Boost Button: Toggles bass boost on/off.

5. Creative App

Enhance your product's performance and personalize audio settings with the Creative app. Features include:

SmartComms Kit: VoiceDetect, NoiseClean-in, and NoiseClean-out for improved online calls.
Customizable Graphic EQ.
Playback and microphone settings configuration.
Software upgrades and product registration.

Note: The Creative app and SmartComms Kit are currently available on Windows platform via USB audio playback only.

6. Master Reset

To resolve issues like Bluetooth pairing or connectivity problems, perform a master reset:

Press and hold the Volume +, Volume -, and Multifunction buttons simultaneously for 8 seconds to reset the headphones to factory settings.
Upon successful reset, the headset will power off. It will automatically initiate Bluetooth pairing mode when powered on after the master reset.
