Button Descriptions

The remote control features the following buttons:

• 1 Power: Turns your devices on and off.

• 3 Digits: Selects the channel on the current device.
• 4 Last Channel: Switches to the previously viewed channel.
• 5 Guide: Accesses the TV guide.
• 6 RGYB Buttons: Quick access buttons for device-specific menus.
• 7 Home: Displays the main menu.
• 8 Menu: Accesses the device's setup menu.
• 9 Menu Navigation and OK: Controls the device's menu navigation.
• 10 Back: Moves one step back in the menu.
• 11 Exit: Exits the current menu.
• 12 Info: Displays information about the current program or channel.
• 13 Volume Up/Down: Controls the device's volume.
• 14 Channel Up/Down: Changes the channel on the current device.
• 15 Mute: Mutes the device's volume.
• 16 TV: Returns to live TV viewing.

Configuration

This remote can be configured using two methods: SimpleSet or Code Configuration.

SimpleSet Setup

If your device's brand is listed in the SimpleSet table, follow these steps:

1. Ensure your TV is powered on (not in standby).
2. Press and hold the Red + Blue buttons until the LED behind the PWR button flashes twice.
3. Press and hold the button corresponding to your device brand from the table (e.g., '1' for TCL TV).
4. The remote will send a different power-off signal every 3 seconds. Release the button as soon as your TV turns off.
5. The LED will flash twice, confirming the remote is now controlling your TV.

If buttons don't work correctly, repeat from step 2 to try the next code.

Configuration by Code

If your device brand is not in the SimpleSet list, you can try codes individually:

1. Turn on your device and point the remote at it.
2. Press and hold the Red + Blue buttons until the LED behind the PWR button flashes twice.
3. Enter the 4-digit code for your brand (e.g., 3779 for Thomson).
4. The LED will flash twice after the last digit.
5. Point the remote at your device and press the Power button.
6. If the device turns off, the remote is configured. If not, repeat steps 2-6 with the next code.

Programming Functions (Learning)

You can teach the remote functions from your original remotes:

1. Ensure original remotes have batteries and are about 3 meters away, pointing at the OFA remote.
2. Press and hold Red + Blue buttons on the OFA remote until the PWR LED flashes twice.
3. Press 975 on the OFA remote; the LED should flash twice.
4. Press and release the button on the OFA remote you want to program (e.g., Power). The LED will flash rapidly.
5. Press and release the corresponding button on the original remote (e.g., original TV Power button).
6. The OFA remote's LED will flash twice, confirming the function is learned.
7. Repeat for other buttons.
8. Once done, press and hold OK on the OFA remote until the LED flashes twice.

Tips:

• If the LED indicator emits a long flash in step 5, the function was not learned correctly; start again from step 4.
• If one or more buttons do not work correctly after setup, you can re-enter programming mode at any time and repeat the process from step 1.
• If any of your original remotes are not working, you can still configure the OFA remote using SimpleSet or Code Configuration.

Deleting a Programmed Function

To revert a button to its original function:

1. Press and hold Red + Blue buttons on the OFA remote until the PWR LED flashes twice.
2. Press 976; the LED should flash twice.
3. Press the button you wish to reset twice; the LED will flash twice, and the programmed function will be deleted.

App Shortcut Buttons

The remote has dedicated buttons for streaming apps (e.g., Netflix, YouTube, FPLAY). If your original remote has these, the URC4922 buttons will perform the same function. If not, you can program these buttons to launch specific apps by creating macros.

To program a macro:

1. Sit in front of your powered-on device.
2. Press and hold the desired app button (e.g., Netflix) until the LED flashes twice and stays lit.
3. Perform the exact button sequence on your device that launches the app (e.g., Apps, Menu, Down, Down, OK). The remote records this in real-time.
4. Once the app launches, press and hold the same app button on the remote until the LED flashes twice and turns off. The macro is now stored.

Tips for Macros:

• Ensure the OFA remote controls the device before programming.
• If a macro fails, repeat the programming sequence.
• Wait for device response during programming; the remote times it.
• Macros are device-specific; ensure you are programming for the correct device.
