Setup Procedures
The URC6821 remote comes pre-programmed for popular devices. If your device is not automatically recognized, several setup methods are available:
SimpleSet Setup
This method is ideal for common brands. It involves pressing the relevant device key (e.g., TV) followed by a specific digit associated with your device's brand, as listed in the manual. The remote then sends a power command to test the connection.
Setup by Code
For devices not covered by SimpleSet, you can use a 4-digit code. Locate your brand and device in the extensive code lists provided in this manual, enter the code using the numeric keypad, and press the Power key to test.
Learning Functions
This feature allows the remote to learn functions from your original remote controls. Position the original remote approximately 3cm from the Big Button remote, select the device key, initiate learning mode, and then press the desired key on both remotes in sequence. The remote will confirm successful learning.
Sound Bar / Audio Receiver Volume Control
The remote can be configured to control the volume and mute functions of connected sound bars or audio receivers. This can be done via an 'Audio SimpleSet' method using brand-specific digits or by entering audio device codes.
Deleting Learned Functions
If a learned function is no longer needed or needs to be reset, a specific code sequence (976 followed by the key to reset twice) can be used to clear the learned function.
Code Lists
Extensive code lists for various TV, STB (Set-Top Box), and Audio brands are provided within this manual. These lists are crucial for setting up the remote control to operate different devices by brand and model.
Safety Information
CAUTION: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Use only quality alkaline batteries.
