Casio TQ-135 Alarm Clock User Manual

Setting the Time

  1. Open the battery cover "A" and remove the battery, stopping the second hand at the desired position.
  2. Slowly turn the alarm setting dial to select the city for which you want to set the time.
  3. The alarm hand moves clockwise when you turn the dial clockwise. If you do not wish to change the alarm sound time but want to change the city, turn the dial counter-clockwise.
  4. Turn the "B" regulator for hours and minutes to set the time.
  5. Insert the battery and start the second hand with the time signal.

Setting World Time

  1. Turn the "C" regulator counter-clockwise to set the alarm time.
  2. Move the "D" switch upwards to activate the alarm. Push the switch down to deactivate the alarm.

Using the World Time Function

You can set the current time for any location on Earth (standard 24 time zones). The clock hand moves according to the current time of any selectable time zone by turning the dial. If you wish to select standard daylight saving time, set the city name with the "SUMMER" marker.

Backlight

Press the backlight button to illuminate the display.

The backlight of this watch uses electro-luminescent (EL) elements, whose power decreases after prolonged use. Frequent use of the backlight reduces battery life.

  • Accuracy: +/- 20 seconds per month at normal temperature.
  • World Time: 24 time zones, daylight saving time setting.
  • Other: Electro-luminescent backlight.
  • Battery: One AA battery. Approximate life: 12 months for R6P (SUM-3) type. (Assumes alarm rings 30 seconds per day and backlight is used 3 seconds per day).
  • Operating Temperature Range: -10°C to 50°C (14°F - 122°F).

Important Notes and Precautions

Important: If battery power drops (clock runs slow, alarm is weak or absent), replace the battery immediately. Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Wipe with a dry soft cloth or one slightly dampened with soapy water. Do not use chemical compounds (like gasoline, solvents, etc.) for cleaning to avoid damage. The watch is not waterproof; avoid moisture.

Precautions: When replacing the battery, carefully observe polarity to avoid explosion.

Warranty Information

If the watch breaks under normal operating conditions within one year of purchase, it will be repaired free of charge. If repair or adjustment is needed during the warranty period, return the watch to the store where purchased or to an authorized Casio distributor with this warranty certificate. Claims for free repair or adjustment during the warranty period will not be accepted in the following cases:

  1. Malfunction caused by improper, careless, or rough operation.
  2. Malfunction caused by fire or other natural disasters.
  3. Malfunction caused by repair or adjustment performed by anyone other than an authorized Casio distributor or their retail dealers.
  4. Damage or breakage to the case, band, crystal, or battery.
  5. Absence of the warranty certificate.
  6. Absence of the official distributor's stamp and address on the warranty certificate.
  7. Absence of the purchase date, model number, and serial number on the warranty certificate.
