Notes:
- If using well water, ensure it has been pre-filtered to prevent clogging.
- The listed model numbers are for black filters; white filters have the same material and capacity.
- Actual filter life depends on local water quality.
Precautions:
- Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water without adequate disinfection.
- For cold water use only.
- Do not freeze the filter to prevent cracking and leakage.
- Keep small parts away from children during installation.
- Installation must comply with all applicable state and local regulations.
- Turn off the water supply before replacing the filter.
The system is certified by WQA against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 for reduction claims and NSF/ANSI 372 for lead content (≤0.25%).
Installation of the filter system
Step 1: Fix the filter head and the filter
1. Apply the assistant label to finish drilling. Mount the water filter at least 2 inches higher than the ground for easier filter change.
2. Install the screw and reserve enough space to hang the filter.
3. Hang the filter system on the screw.
Step 2: Connect the water supply (cold water only)
1. Connect the inlet hose and the outlet hose to the filter head. A 1/8 inch gap between the hose and filter head is normal for easy replacement and does not affect sealing.
2. Shut off the water supply. Remove the faucet hose.
3. Connect the inlet hose to the cold water valve.
- If the angle valve outlet is 3/8", connect directly.
- If the angle valve outlet is 1/2", use the No.1 converter first.
Step 3: Connect to the faucet
- If the faucet hose is 3/8", connect directly to the outlet hose.
- If the faucet hose is 1/2", use the No.2 converter first.
Check the leaks and flush the filter
1. If water leakage occurs, turn off the water supply. Wrap Teflon tape on external threads for leaks at positions 1 and 2. For leaks at positions 3 or 4, insert the quick-connect fitting fully and ensure hoses reach the bottom.
2. Flush the filter for 5 minutes before use.
To disconnect
Press the lock sleeve with your thumb and index finger, then pull the hose out with your other hand. Do not pull the tubing directly to avoid damaging the fitting and causing leaks.
Filter replacement
- Turn off the water supply and open the faucet to release water pressure.
- Rotate the filter 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to remove it.
- Remove the new filter and its protective cap.
- Rotate the filter 1/4 turn clockwise to install. Ensure the triangle mark aligns with the connection mark.
- Turn on the cold water valve and flush for 5 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What should I do if water leaks after installation?
A: Turn off the water supply. For thread leaks, wrap with Teflon tape. For quick connection leaks, ensure hoses are fully inserted. Contact us if leaks persist.
Q: Why doesn't the TDS value lower after filtration?
A: This filter is not designed to lower TDS (total dissolved solids). It retains beneficial trace elements while removing harmful substances. For TDS removal, consider a Waterdrop RO system.
Q: When should I replace the filter?
A: Replace the filter if the flow rate significantly reduces or if the water develops a peculiar smell. Recommended service life: 1 year for WD-RF10 series, 2 years for WD-RF15 series, and 3 years for WD-RF17 series.
Q: Why does black water come out during flushing?
A: This is normal and due to residual carbon powder. Flush for 5 minutes until the water runs clear.
1-year quality assurance
Mechanical parts have a limited 1-year replacement assurance. Filter cartridge service life varies based on water conditions and usage. Contact customer service within 1 year for defective parts. This assurance does not cover misuse, abnormal conditions, or unauthorized repairs.

Substance reduction: The system is tested and certified by WQA according to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and NSF/ANSI Standards 372. It reduces indicated substances to levels below permissible limits.
Substance | Inf. Average | Specified Challenge Concentration | Ave. % Reduction | Reduction Requirements |
Chlorine Taste and Odor | 2.0 mg/L | 2.0 mg/L ± 10% | 92.7% | ≥50% |
Average Product Water | 0.05mg/L | N/A | N/A | ≥50% |
Max Permissible Product Water | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A |
Note: System should be used with municipal or well water sources that are tested regularly for bacteriological safety. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
Testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions; actual performance may vary.
WARNING: Please read carefully before installation. System and installation must comply with applicable state and local regulations.
