Getting Started
With the leak-free design, filters can be replaced directly without cutting off power and water or using tools.
Step 1: Before removing the filter, turn off the faucet and wait 30 seconds to fully release internal pressure of the RO system. This makes filter removal and installation easier. (Illustration: Faucet turned off, timer indicating 30 seconds).
Step 2: Twist off the old filter in a counterclockwise direction. (Illustration: Hand twisting filter counterclockwise).
Note: After replacing the CB filter, press the center knob protruding at the top of the old filter to release pressure and prevent water spills. Have a towel or bucket ready to catch any drips. (Illustration shows the center knob with 'OFF' [❌] and 'ON' [✔️] labels, and an arrow indicating rotation).
Step 3: Remove the shrink wrap and protective cap from the new filter. (Illustration: Hands removing protective materials).
Step 4: Insert the new filter into the housing, aligning the arrow with the empty circle on the housing. (Illustration: Filter being inserted and arrow aligned with empty circle).
Step 5: Apply slight forward pressure and rotate the filter clockwise 1/4 turn until the arrow aligns with the solid circle on the housing. A clicking sound may be heard when the filter is fitted. (Illustration: Filter rotated clockwise, arrow aligned with solid circle, indicating a click).
Step 6: Hold the CB filter life indicator for 7 seconds until the system beeps and the blue light stays on. (Illustration: Finger holding indicator, system emitting sound and light).
Step 7: Turn on the RO faucet to flush the system for 30 minutes until the front panel and faucet screen display the TDS reading. (Illustration: Faucet on, water flushing, screen showing TDS value).
Storage and Maintenance
- Replace the filter regularly according to the filter life indicator.
- Do not store the filter for a long time. Place it in a dry, cool place when not in use.
- The water source must meet the requirements of municipal tap water.
- Avoid placing the filter in direct sunlight.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Why does filtered water taste weird?
A:
- (1) The filter is about to expire. Check the indicator reminder and replace it.
- (2) The system hasn't been used for a long time. Turn on the RO faucet and allow it to flush for a while before drinking.
- Q: What will happen if I do not change my filter when the filter life indicator light turns red?
A: An over-used filter degrades filtration performance, allowing contaminants to leak back into the water and adversely affect your health. It is recommended to replace the filter if the indicator turns red.
- Q: Why is the filter life indicator still red after changing the filter?
A: The filter life indicator was not reset. Please reset it again by holding the CB filter reset indicator for 5 seconds until the system beeps and the blue light stays on.
