1 Your mobile
1.1 Keys and connectors
Description of keys and connectors:
- 1 Torch: Located on the top of the phone.
- 2 Headset connector: Located on the top of the phone.
- 3 USB port: Located on the bottom of the phone.
- 4 Camera: Located on the back of the phone.
- 5 Speaker: Located on the back of the phone.
- 6 SOS key: Located on the side of the phone.
- 7 Volume key: Located on the side of the phone.
Key functions:
- OK key: Confirm an option or access the app list.
- Left soft key: Confirm an option or access the app list.
- Call key: Pick up/send a call or enter call log.
- Right soft key (Back key): Access Contacts.
- End key: End a call, hang up, cancel dialing, or return to the Home Screen.
- Navigation key: Move through menus, access Messages (Up), Camera (Down), Entertainment (Right), or Tools (Left).
- "5" key: Input "5" or switch the torch on/off (long press).
- "*" key: Input "*" or lock the screen (long press). In edit mode, insert symbols.
- "#" key: Input "#", activate vibration mode (long press), or change input method in edit mode.
1.2 Getting started
1.2.1 Set up
Removing the back cover and installing the battery:
Follow the diagrams to remove the back cover and install the battery.
Inserting or removing the SIM/micro SD card
Place the SIM card with the chip facing downwards and slide it into its housing. Ensure it is correctly inserted. To remove the card, press it and slide it out. Power off your phone before inserting or removing the SIM/micro SD card.
Charging the battery
Connect the battery charger to your phone and plug it into the socket. Ensure the plug is inserted correctly and the battery is properly seated before connecting the charger. Use a nearby and easily accessible mains socket.
Note: To reduce power consumption, disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged, switch off Bluetooth or background applications when not in use, and reduce backlight time.
1.3 Home screen
The Home screen displays the time, date, and status indicators. You can access Menu and Contacts from here.
1.3.1 Status bar
The Status bar at the top of the Home screen shows icons for network reception, battery status, new messages, silent mode, Bluetooth, and SIM card status.
1.4 App list
Press the Left soft key or OK key from the Home screen to access the App list, which displays all available applications.
1.4.2 Change Home screen wallpaper
From the Home screen, navigate to Settings > Display > Wallpaper settings. Select a new image from Static wallpaper or More pictures and press the OK key.
2 Call logs
2.1 Making a call
Dial the desired number and press the Call key. Alternatively, select a contact from Contacts using the Right soft key and the Navigation key, then press the Call key. To delete incorrect digits, press the Right soft key. To hang up, press the End key.
2.2 Answer or decline a call
When receiving a call, press the Left soft key or Call key to answer, or press the Right soft key or End key to decline.
2.3 Accessing voicemail
Press and hold the '1' key to call voicemail. Follow the prompts to set up your account.
3 Message
Use the messaging feature to send and receive text (SMS/MMS) messages.
3.1 Write message
From the Home screen, go to Messages > Write message. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts. Type your message and press OK key or Left soft key to Send.
3.2 Send a multimedia message
MMS allows sending video clips, images, photos, contacts, and sounds. From the Message screen, select Options > Add and choose the attachment. SMS will be converted to MMS when media files are attached.
3.3 How to type a message
In edit mode, use the Keypad to change input methods. Long press a key for numbers. Press '#' to set your desired text input. For normal text input, press number keys 2-9 repeatedly. Press the key to switch between Abc/abc/ABC/123 modes. Use the * + # key for punctuation and special characters. Press the Right soft key to delete characters.
Settings:
- SIM1/SIM2 Message centre: View message centre number.
- Message validity period: Set validity as 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, 1 week, or Maximum.
- Status report: Enable or disable status reports.
- Reply path: Enable reply path.
- Coding management: Set character code to GSM-7 bit, UCS2, or Auto.
- Save sent messages: Choose whether to save sent messages.
- Preferred storage: Set the path for saved messages.
- Export SMS: Set the SMS path to export from.
- Auto signature: Apply an auto signature.
- Signature: Input your signature.
4 Contacts
4.1 Consult your Contacts
Access Contacts from the Home screen by pressing the OK key and selecting Contacts, or by pressing the Right soft key from the Home screen.
- Press the Left soft key for more options.
- Press the OK key to enter contact details.
- Press the Right soft key to return to the App list or Home screen.
4.2 Adding a contact
On the contacts list screen, select Options > New to add new contacts with detailed information.
4.3 Editing your contacts
Select a contact, press the OK key to access Details, select Options > Edit, and press the OK key to edit.
4.4 Deleting a contact
On your contacts list screen, press the Left soft key to access Options, select Delete, and press the OK key to delete.
4.5 Available options
From the contact list, you can:
- New: Create a new contact.
- Write message: Send an SMS to a selected contact.
- Call: Make a call to the selected contact.
- Delete: Delete the selected contact.
- Delete multiple: Delete one or more contacts.
Import/Export: Import or export contacts to/from your phone or SIM card.
Send vCard: Send a contact via SMS/MMS/Bluetooth.
Others:
- Speed dial: Set speed dial contacts.
- Memory status: Review phone and SIM card memory status.
- Own number: Set your own name and mobile number.
5 SOS
From the Home screen, press the OK key and select SOS. Define SOS call contacts and edit the pre-defined message. Ensure SOS mode is activated by pressing navigation up/down key and selecting Activation, then pressing the OK key. In emergencies, press and hold the SOS key to trigger an alarm, send help messages, and dial pre-set emergency contact numbers.
6 Gallery
Gallery is a media player for viewing photos and videos. To access it, press the OK key from the Home screen and select Gallery.
7 Camera
7.1 Camera
To access the camera, press the OK key from the Home screen and select Camera. Position the object in the viewfinder and press the OK key to take pictures. Press the Left soft key to save.
7.2 Video
To shoot a video, press the Left soft key, select More options > DV mode, and press the OK key. When finished, press the Left soft key to save. Videos are automatically saved and can be viewed in the Gallery app.
8 Tools
8.1 Alarm
Set up to three alarms with different wake-up times.
8.2 Clock
The clock displays your current location's time. You can add other cities to view their time zones.
8.3 Torch
Press the OK key to turn the phone's flashlight on and off.
8.4 Calculator
Use the Navigation keys and Centre soft key to perform calculations with +, -, ×, ÷, and =.
8.5 Calendar
Use Calendar to track meetings and appointments. To create a new event, select the date, press OK key, fill in details, and press Left soft key to save. Supports a maximum of 20 calendar entries.
8.6 Recorder
Record audio files. Files are stored automatically upon completion.
8.7 My files
Manage files stored on the phone, including external microSD™ card and internal storage.
8.8 Convert
Supports weight and length conversions.
9 Entertainment
Access entertainment options like Music, FM radio, Facebook, Games, and Opera Mini. Press the OK key from the Home screen and select Entertainment.
10 Settings
Access Settings by pressing the OK key from the Home screen and selecting Settings.
10.1 Profiles
Set sound modes for different scenarios: Normal, Silent, Meeting, Indoor, or Outdoor.
10.2 Bluetooth
Exchange data (video, images, audio) with other Bluetooth-supported devices within a limited range after pairing.
10.3 Phone settings
- Time & date: Modify date and time settings, including 12/24h format and date format. Enable auto time update via Phone settings > Update time settings > Auto update time.
- Language settings: Customize display and writing languages. Availability may vary by device model and software version.
- Shortcut Settings: Customize shortcuts for quick access to features like contacts, messages, and camera.
- Auto power on/off: Set desired times for automatic power on and off.
10.4 Display
Set animation effects, wallpaper, auto lock, and other features to enhance display experience and personalize your device.
10.5 Display Mode
Choose between Super icon mode (large icons) and 3*3 mode (grid layout with smaller icons and text).
10.6 Security
Protect your phone by activating and changing PIN and password. Lock your phone using PIN2 for Fixed dial number.
- PIN: SIM card protection code requested on power on.
- Modify PIN2: Protection code for SIM card features (FDN) requested when accessing the card. Update with a new code (4-8 digits).
- Phone locked: Unlock code requested on power on.
- Modify the phone password: Change the phone's password.
- Privacy: Lock applications (Call logs, Message, Camera, Contacts, My files, Calendar, etc.) by entering a password.
- Lock screen by end-key: Instantly lock the screen by pressing the End key.
- Fixed dialing number: Lock the phone to dial only specific numbers or numbers with certain prefixes. Requires a PIN2 code.
10.7 Call settings
- Dual-SIM: Manage two phone numbers on a single device.
- Call forwarding: Activate, cancel, or verify call forwarding status.
- Call waiting: Activate/Deactivate notifications for second incoming calls.
- Call barred: Restrict incoming and outgoing calls for privacy and security.
- Hide ID: Conceal or mask your identity during calls.
- Others: Includes Call time minute reminder, Auto redial, Vibration when connected, and Reply SMS after reject.
10.8 Connections
Set Network account, Data roaming, Network selection, etc.
10.9 STK
The STK (SIM Toolkit) menu provides SIM card management features, such as SIM card services and applications.
10.10 SOS
Refer to section "5 SOS" for detailed information.
10.11 Call Filter
Control calls with Call Filter, block unwanted calls, and create custom blacklists.
10.12 Regulatory & Safety
View information about your phone, including Product model, Manufacturer name, IMEI, and CU Reference.

View Privacy and User Terms in this menu.
11 Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, try the following:
- Fully charge the battery for optimal operation.
- Avoid storing large amounts of data to maintain performance.
My phone can't be switched on or is frozen
- Check battery contacts, remove and reinstall the battery, then turn on the phone.
- Check battery power level; charge for at least 20 minutes.
My phone has not responded for several minutes
- Restart the phone by pressing and holding the End key.
- Remove and re-insert the battery, then restart the phone.
My phone turns off by itself
- Check if the phone is locked when not in use. Ensure you don't accidentally turn off the phone when locking it by pressing the End key.
- Check the battery charge level.
My phone can't charge properly
- Use the TCL battery and charger provided.
- Ensure the battery is inserted correctly before plugging in the charger.
- If the battery is completely discharged, it may take around 20 minutes to display the charging indicator.
- Charge under normal conditions (0°C to +40°C).
- When abroad, check voltage input compatibility.
My phone can't connect to a network or "No service" is displayed
- Try connecting in another location.
- Verify network coverage with your operator.
- Check SIM card validity with your operator.
- Manually select available networks.
- Try connecting later if the network is overloaded.
My phone can't connect to the Internet
- Ensure internet access service for your SIM card is available.
- Check your phone's Internet connection settings.
- Ensure you are in a place with network coverage.
- Try connecting at a later time or another location.
Invalid SIM card
- Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted.
- Check that the SIM card chip is not damaged or scratched.
- Ensure your SIM card service is available.
Unable to make outgoing calls
- Dial a valid number and press the call key.
- Check country and area codes for international calls.
- Ensure your phone is connected to a network that is not overloaded or unavailable.
- Check your subscription status with your operator (credit, SIM card valid, etc.).
- Ensure outgoing calls are not barred.
- Ensure the phone is not in flight mode.
Unable to receive incoming calls
- Ensure your phone is switched on and connected to a network (check for network overload or unavailability).
- Check your subscription status with your operator (credit, SIM card valid, etc.).
- Ensure incoming calls are not forwarded.
- Ensure certain calls are not barred.
The caller's name/number does not appear when a call is received
- Check if you have subscribed to this service with your operator.
- Your caller may have concealed their name or number.
I can't find my contacts
- Ensure your SIM card is not broken.
- Ensure your SIM card is inserted properly.
- Import all contacts stored in the SIM card to the phone.
The sound quality of the calls is poor
- Adjust the volume during a call using the Volume Up/down key.
- Check the network strength.
- Ensure the receiver, connector, or speaker on your phone is clean.
I am unable to use the features described in the manual
- Check with your operator to ensure your subscription includes the service.
- Ensure the feature does not require a TCL accessory.
When I select a number from my contacts, the number can't be dialled
- Ensure you have correctly recorded the number in your file.
- Ensure you have selected the country prefix when calling a foreign country.
I am unable to add a contact to my contacts
- Ensure your SIM card contacts are not full; delete some files or save them in the phone contacts.
My callers are unable to leave messages on my voicemail
- Contact your network operator to check service availability.
I can't access my voicemail
- Ensure your operator's voicemail number is correctly entered.
- Try later if the network is busy.
SIM card PIN locked
Contact your network operator to obtain the PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key).
The phone can't be detected by others via Bluetooth
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned on and your phone is visible to other users.
- Ensure both phones are within Bluetooth's detection range.
