Winter Use Instructions:
The spa can be used in winter. The Freeze Shield™ system keeps water between 6°C (42.8°F) and 10°C (50°F) to prevent freezing. The spa heater must remain on if the water temperature is below 6°C (42.8°F). If the Freeze Shield™ system is not working, check the spa status when outdoor temperatures are below 6°C (42.8°F). For long-term absence, disassemble and store the spa. Damage from freezing conditions is the customer's responsibility. Do not use the spa if the ambient temperature reaches -10°C (14°F).
Heating Reset:
For first-time use or after long inactivity, press the reset button on the pump with a thin object. If the temperature does not change after 4-5 hours of heating, press the RESET BUTTON again and restart the system. The heating system will not operate if the outside temperature is above 40°C (104°F) or if the spa is in direct sunlight. Wait for cooler conditions before resetting.
Heating Duration Reference:
The time to reach 40°C (104°F) depends on starting water and ambient temperatures. Example data:
Ambient Temperature | Water Temperature | Set Temperature | Heating Duration |
---|---|---|---|
10°C(50°F) | 10°C(50°F) | 40°C(104°F) | 18.5 h |
15°C(59°F) | 15°C(59°F) | 40°C(104°F) | 15 h |
20°C(68°F) | 20°C(68°F) | 40°C(104°F) | 11.5 h |
25°C(77°F) | 25°C(77°F) | 40°C(104°F) | 8.5 h |
30°C(86°F) | 30°C(86°F) | 40°C(104°F) | 5.5 h |
Always cover the spa when heating is active. Uncovered spas require longer heating times. Do not switch off the spa heater if the temperature is below 6°C (42.8°F) when assembled with water.
