Universal Two Channel Garage Door Opener Wireless Keypad JP-LT

Please read all the instructions thoroughly BEFORE beginning.

Getting Started

Start with the garage door closed and determine your garage door opener type - Smart/Learn Button or DIP Code Switch. These are typically located on the opener itself or on a separate radio receiver. Refer to your owner's manual if necessary.

This keypad can control up to two garage door openers, which can be different brands or types, as long as they are listed in the provided tables.

WARNING

To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY from a moving garage door:

  • Install the keypad within sight of the garage door, out of reach of children, at a minimum height of 5 feet, and away from ALL moving parts of the door.
  • Activate the gate or door ONLY when it can be seen clearly, is properly adjusted, and there are no obstructions to the door's travel.
  • ALWAYS keep the gate or door in sight until it is completely opened or closed.

NOTE: The following brand names are part of the Chamberlain brand: Access Master, Chamberlain, Do-It, Gatheron, LiftMaster, Link Control, Master Mechanic, Merik, Raynor, Sears Craftsman, Steel Craft, True Value.

NOTE: The factory default 4-digit PIN code for channel one is 1111, and for channel two is 2222. See "Change an Existing PIN Code" to change them.

Example: For the code switch settings shown below, you would enter: 2-8-8-8-2-2-2-8-8-8-8-8-# as the code switch sequence.

Operation Instructions

To activate the opener, enter the 4-digit PIN code followed by #. The keypad will send the signal to the opener and flash rapidly for 2 seconds. If a wrong number is accidentally pressed, the correct pin can be entered followed by #, as only the last four digits will actually be used as the PIN code.

The keypad will reset to standby mode if no further entries are made within 6 seconds.

As a security precaution, the keypad will lock up for 2 minutes if three consecutive incorrect PIN codes have been attempted.

  1. Press and hold the * and # buttons simultaneously to enter program mode.
  2. Enter the current 4-digit PIN Code ____ then # (factory default is 1111 for channel one and 2222 for channel two).

If installing on another surface, use an appropriate mounting method. Secure the keypad and re-assemble.

Slide off the battery cover and remove the battery. Replace with a heavy-duty alkaline type battery. Re-programming may be needed when replacing the battery.
