Important Information
Battery
The factory-installed battery may discharge during delivery and storage. If you notice signs of low power (e.g., dim display), it is recommended to replace the battery at an authorized Casio service center or Casio distributor.
Water Resistance
Do not press buttons, operate the crown, or unscrew it while underwater. If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Avoid wearing watches with leather straps while swimming and prevent prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Water Resistance Ratings
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I-V) based on their protection against water. The table below details usage capabilities according to the case marking:
- I (No Marking): Not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture.
- II (WATER RESISTANT): Protected against splashes and rain.
- III (50 M WATER RESISTANT): Protected against splashes, rain, car washing, and swimming.
- IV (100 M WATER RESISTANT): Protected against splashes, rain, car washing, swimming, and snorkeling.
- V (200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT): Protected against splashes, rain, car washing, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving (excluding deep dives requiring mixed gas).
Note: WR (Water Resistant) signifies water resistance according to ISO 2281. Different bar ratings (5 Bar, 10 Bar, 20 Bar) indicate suitability for activities ranging from showering to scuba diving.
Watch Care and Maintenance
- Never attempt to open the watch case yourself.
- Gasket replacement for water and dust protection is recommended every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it inspected by a dealer immediately.
- Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and dropping the watch.
- Ensure the strap is not too tight; a finger should fit between the wrist and the strap.
- Clean the watch and strap with a dry soft cloth or a cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Avoid volatile cleaning agents.
- Store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Prevent contact with gasoline, solvents, adhesives, paints, etc., as these can damage the watch's components.
- Exercise caution when cleaning straps with silk-screened graphics.
- Plastic straps may exhibit a white powdery substance, which is harmless and easily removed by wiping.
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade.
