System Connectivity Overview
This diagram outlines a sophisticated mobile power system, integrating solar energy, battery storage, and AC power management. Solar panels are connected via SAE to MC4 cables to the Victron Smart Solar MPPT 75V 15A charge controller, which efficiently charges the Li Time 12V 230Ah battery.
The Li Time battery acts as the core DC power reservoir, linking to the Victron Lynx Distributor M8. This distributor manages power flow to major components, including the Victron Multiplus 12/800/35 inverter/charger, the Victron Orion TR Smart 12/12 30A DC-DC charger, and various 12V distribution circuits. The Multiplus converts 12V DC to 230V AC for appliances and can also charge the battery from an AC source. The Orion TR Smart 12/12 30A enables charging from an auxiliary 12V source, such as the BOSCH S4 013 starter battery, or vice-versa.
The Victron Smart Shunt 300A is installed to monitor the battery bank's performance, providing real-time data on charge, discharge, voltage, and state of charge. The system incorporates a DEFA Steckdose for external AC shore power input, typically connecting to the Multiplus or the AP Kleinverteiler 4TE, which handles AC circuit distribution.
Safety and protection are ensured through multiple fuses: a 150A Mega fuse and a 40A fuse are located near the starter battery plus. The Lynx Distributor itself contains 100A and 40A fuses for its respective loads. A main disconnect switch (Trennschalter / Notaus) is present for emergency system shutdown.
Key wiring specifications are detailed: 50mm² cables (1-2 meters) are used for high-current battery connections to the Lynx Distributor, and 25mm² cables (1-2 meters) connect the Lynx Distributor to the Multiplus. Other connections utilize cables such as 6mm² (2 meters, max 15A or 18A) and 10mm² (2 meters, max 18A; 5 meters, max 18A).
The Ecosonique 200W device is identified as a 12V consumer connected via MC4. A 12-way distributor (100A / Max 30A single) is used for various other 12V consumers, each requiring appropriate fusing and wiring.
The Victron VE.Bus Smart Dongle facilitates wireless communication for remote monitoring and control of the Victron system components. The diagram also indicates grounding connections to the vehicle chassis, labeled "Carrosserie".
