1 Quick Reference
The PowerSeries Neo Alarm System utilizes shortcut keys for quick access to options and features on all keypad models. LCD keypads also feature a menu-based navigation system using scroll keys to navigate options. Some features may require installer enablement.
Status Lights
- Ready
- Indicates system is normal and ready to arm. All zones must be secured or bypassed, and the system disarmed.
- Armed
- Indicates system is armed. If both Ready and Armed lights are on, an Exit Delay is in progress.
- Trouble
- On indicates a system malfunction or tamper. Flashing indicates a low battery. Enter [*][2] to view trouble.
- AC Power
- Indicates AC Power is present. Light turns off when AC is absent.
Function Keys
- Stay Arm
- Arms the system in Stay mode.
- Away Arm
- Arms the system in Away mode.
- Chime
- Toggles the Door Chime function.
- Reset Sensors
- Resets sensors.
- Quick Exit
- Allows quick exit without disarming.
Emergency Keys
- Fire Alarm
- Activates a fire alarm.
- Medical Alarm
- Activates a medical alarm.
- Panic Alarm
- Activates a panic alarm.
Arming and Disarming Actions
- Away Arm: Press ★ for 2 seconds + [Access Code*]
- Stay Arm: Press ★ for 2 seconds + [Access Code*]
- Night Arm: When armed in stay mode, press ★ 1 + [Access Code*]
- Disarm: Enter [Access Code]
- No-Entry Arming: Press ★ 9 + [Access Code*]
- Quick Arm/Quick Exit: Press ★ 0
- Abort Arming Sequence: Enter [Access Code]
Bypassing
All bypass commands begin with ★ 1 + [Access Code*].
- Bypass Individual Zones: Enter [3 Digit Zone #]
- Bypass All Open Zones: Press 9 9 8
- Recall Last Bypass: Press 9 9 9
- Clear Bypass: Scroll Bypass Options + ★ + Scroll Clear Bypasses + ★
- Program Bypass Group: [3 digit zone #s] + 9 9 5 OR [3 digit zone #s] + Scroll Bypass Options + ★ + Scroll Prg Bypass Group + ★
- Load Bypass Group: Press 9 9 1 OR Scroll Bypass Options + ★ + Scroll Bypass Group + ★

- Turn Chime ON/OFF: Press ★ 4 + [Access Code*] OR ★

2 Understanding your Keypad Display
The PowerSeries Neo Alarm System supports various keypad types: wireless, hardwired, and proximity sensor LCD, LED, and Icon keypads. All keypads include LED status lights. HS2LCD series keypads display messages on their LCD screen, while HS2ICN and HS2LED series keypads use icons and numbered LEDs.
2.1 Icon and LED Keypad Symbols
- Clock Digits 1, 2
- Indicate hour digits when the local clock is active, or identify the zone when OPEN or ALARM icons are active. These digits scroll through open zones.
- : (Colon)
- Hours/minutes divider, flashes once per second when the local clock is active.
- Clock Digits 3, 4
- Minute digits when the local clock is active.
- 1 to 8
- Identify troubles when ★ 2 is pressed.
- Memory
- Indicates alarms in memory.
- Bypass
- Indicates zones are bypassed.
- Program
- Indicates system is in Programming or keypad is busy.
- Away
- Indicates panel is armed in Away Mode.
- Fire
- Indicates fire and/or CO alarms in memory.
- Stay
- Indicates panel is armed in Stay Mode.
- Chime
- Turns on when Chime function key is pressed to enable Door Chime, turns off when pressed again.
- OPEN
- Used with clock digits 1 and 2 to indicate activated zones (not alarm). Turns on when zones are opened, and displays scroll through open zones.
- AC
- Indicates AC power is present at the main panel.
- System Trouble
- Indicates a system trouble is present.
- Night
- Indicates the panel is armed in Night Mode.
- Ready Light (green)
- If on, system is ready for arming.
- Armed Light (red)
- If on, system has been armed successfully.
NOTE: For UL listed installations, zones can only be bypassed manually.
2.2 Keypad Models
The PowerSeries Neo system supports various keypad models. Models operating in the 912-919MHz band are UL/ULC listed. Examples include:
- HS2LCD: Alphanumeric LCD keypad
- HS2LCDP: Alphanumeric LCD keypad with Proximity Tag support
- HS2ICN: Icon keypad
- HS2ICNP: Icon keypad with Proximity Tag support
- HS2LED: LED keypad
- HS2LCDRFx: Alphanumeric LCD keypad with wireless receiver
- HS2LCDRFPx: Alphanumeric LCD keypad with wireless receiver and Proximity tag support
- HS2ICNRFx: Icon keypad with wireless receiver
- HS2ICNRFPx: Icon keypad with wireless receiver and Proximity tag support
- HS2LCDWFx: Wireless Alphanumeric LCD keypad
- HS2LCDWFPx: Wireless Alphanumeric LCD keypad with Proximity Tag support
- HS2LCDWFPVX: Wireless Alphanumeric LCD keypad with Proximity Tag support & Voice Prompting
