IKEA Returns Policy for IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o.
This document outlines the terms and conditions for returning products purchased from IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. in Poland.
I. General Provisions
This policy applies to goods purchased from IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. ("IKEA") within the Republic of Poland.
Return Period: Goods can be returned within 365 days from the date of delivery or pickup, regardless of the purchase method (in-store, online, or by phone).
Return Location: Returns can be made at the Customer Service department in any IKEA store located in Poland.
Proof of Purchase Required: To process a return, customers must present the original receipt or VAT invoice (electronic or paper form), or an IKEA FAMILY card that was used to register the purchase.
Customer Rights Preservation: The provisions of this policy do not affect the customer's statutory rights, including:
- Rights related to non-conformity of goods with the contract, as per Article 43a et seq. of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights.
- Rights under any applicable guarantee or warranty.
- Statutory right to withdraw from a remotely concluded agreement, as detailed in the Rules of Providing Services Remotely available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy.
II. Terms and Conditions of Returns
IKEA accepts returns of goods that meet the following criteria at the time of return:
- Condition 1: Goods must be in their original, undamaged (i.e., unopened) packaging and in the same condition as when delivered to the customer. They should not show any signs of use.
- Condition 2: Goods are unpacked (returned in original, but opened packaging, or without original packaging) and show only marks of handling necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning after unpacking and assembly. This allows customers to test goods under home conditions but prohibits actual use (this exclusion does not apply to IKEA Food items).
Refund Procedures:
IKEA will refund the sale price of returned goods as follows:
- For goods unused and originally packed (as per II.1.a), returned within 365 days: Refund will be issued using the original payment method.
- For goods unpacked (as per II.1.b):
- Within 14 days of delivery/pickup: Refund via the original payment method.
- Within 14 days of delivery/pickup (paid via BLIK CHECK): Refund will be issued via BLIK, payment card, refund card/e-refund card, or cash. This provision does not apply to credit agreements related to Ikano Bank AB (publ.) Spółka Akcyjna Oddział w Polsce.
- Between 15 to 365 days of delivery/pickup: Refund via IKEA refund card or digital refund card.
- For goods paid with an IKEA electronic card (gift, refund, or e-refund card), Sodexo vouchers, or goods purchased on installments (without amending the installment agreement with Ikano Bank AB): Returned within 365 days, refund will be issued via IKEA refund card or digital refund card.
- For food products, goods purchased in the As-Is Department (excluding items mentioned in section II.5.c), custom-made items, or textiles: Refund will be issued via IKEA refund card or digital refund card.
IKEA Refund Card and E-Refund Card Usage: The rules for using IKEA refund cards and e-refund cards are detailed in the Regulation available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy.
IKEA's Right to Refuse or Deduct Value: IKEA reserves the right not to accept goods that have been used beyond the scope described in section II.1.b (e.g., goods that are dirty, scratched, dented, or show signs of washing). If IKEA decides to accept such goods, it reserves the right to deduct an amount reflecting the reduction in the goods' value. The amount of deduction will be determined by a Customer Service employee at an IKEA store.
Items Not Eligible for Return:
- IKEA gift cards, refund cards, and e-refund cards.
- Unpacked mattresses (these may be replaced within 90 days according to the specific policy for mattress replacements).
- Goods purchased in the As-Is Department marked as "BuyBack&Re-Sell".
- Items made to individual order, including those with stitching and embroidery services, as per IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o.'s service regulations.
- Goods modified by the customer.
- The value of any promotional discount or rebate applied.
- Items purchased under a leasing agreement.
- Cut Christmas trees.
III. Final Provisions
The content of this Returns Policy is available on the website IKEA.pl/regulaminy and at the Customer Service departments in IKEA stores.
Any changes to the terms of this policy will not affect the rights and obligations acquired by the customer before the effective date of the changes. Amended terms and conditions will be made available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy and in IKEA stores.
Effective Date: This policy comes into effect as of 11.04.2025. For goods purchased before April 11, 2025, previous return policies apply, which are available at IKEA Customer Service departments and on IKEA.pl/regulaminy.
