Jablotron JA-151F Wireless Flood Detector

Product Overview

The Jablotron JA-151F is a wireless flood detector designed for emergency detection of water leaks in normal indoor environments. It can be installed using a magnetic sticker or placed directly on the floor. The detector is IP65 rated and intended for indoor use by trained technicians. A control panel with a JA-11xR radio module is required for operation. It is compatible with Jablotron alarm control panels JA-102K, JA-103K, JA-107K, and JA-152KRY.

Important Note: This product is not a float-level detector and is not designed for submersion, prolonged wetness, or high humidity environments.

Installation

The JA-151F can be installed in two ways:

• Horizontal Installation (Self-supporting): All detection pins face downwards.
• Vertical Installation (Wall-mounted): One pair of detection pins faces downwards.

Installation Steps:

1. To enroll the product into a control panel, navigate to the 'Devices' tab in the F-Link software, select a position, and click 'Send enrollment signal'. The control panel must have a JA-11xR radio module.
2. Open the product cover and insert AAA batteries (6), observing polarity.
3. Upon inserting the second battery, an enrollment signal is sent to the control panel. A low battery condition is indicated by the LED (3) flashing yellow at 2 Hz.
4. For horizontal installation: Close the cover, secure it with the locking screws, and ensure it is properly sealed. Place the product flat on the floor in the intended location. This installation method detects very small amounts of liquid.
5. For vertical installation: Close the cover, secure it with the locking screws, and ensure it is properly sealed. Place the product on its side on the floor. Attach the magnetic sticker (2) to the integrated metal plate on the back of the product (see Figure 1). This installation method detects a larger quantity of liquid due to a higher detection level.
6. The product has a cover opening detection contact, but not a product removal detection contact. Opening the cover triggers a tamper alert to the system. This is an optional function configurable in MyCompany or F-Link software.
7. The product signals an alarm/flood when any pair of detection pins (1) is connected.

Note: The product can also be enrolled by entering its serial number.

Recommendation: Install the product in areas most prone to water leaks or in the lowest-lying areas.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement: The product will signal a low battery fault to the system. Before replacing batteries, put the system into maintenance mode. When opening the product, ensure the rubber seal and locking screw are not damaged. After replacement, ensure the seal is correctly positioned around the screw and that the product is securely closed. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones.

After a Flood: Once the incident is resolved, open the product, remove the batteries, and allow it to dry completely before reuse.

Indication

The product indicates its status via LED indicators:

• Red LED: Indicates product activation or active tampering.
• Yellow LED: Indicates faults and that the product is ready for system registration.
