JA-110P PIR Motion Detector
Introduction

The JA-110P product is a component of the JABLOTRON system. It serves for the detection of human movement in indoor environments. Its detection characteristics can be modified using an alternative lens. False alarm immunity is available in two options. The detector has an impulse reaction (only reports its activation). The detector must be installed by a trained technician with a valid certificate issued by an authorized distributor. This product is compatible with JA-101K, JA-102K, JA-103K, JA-106K, JA-107K.
Installation
The detector can be installed on a wall or in a corner of the room. There should be no objects that rapidly change temperature (electric heaters, gas appliances, etc.) or that move (e.g., curtains hanging over a radiator), nor domestic animals within the detector's field of view. It is not recommended to install the detector facing windows or spotlights, nor in locations with excessively strong airflow (near fans, heat sources, air conditioning outlets, unclosed doors, etc.). There should be no obstacles in front of the detector that could obstruct its view.
Figure 1: Installation mounting points. Features include holes for flat wall mounting (1) and corner mounting (2, 4), a PCB mounting tab (3), and a cover tab (5).
Installation Steps
- Open the detector cover (by pushing the tab - 5). Avoid touching the internal PIR sensor (11), as you might damage it.
- Remove the printed circuit board - it is held by tab 3.
- Drill holes for screws and the cable in the plastic base. The recommended installation height for the detector is 2.5 m above the floor.
- Insert the bus cable and fix the plastic base to the wall with screws (vertically, with the cover tab facing downwards). When connecting the detector to the system bus, always disconnect the power supply.
- Insert the back of the printed circuit board and connect the bus cables to the terminals (8).
Internal Detector Adjustments
The detector's properties can be adjusted in the Devices window of the F-Link program. When you are in the detector's position, use the Internal Settings option to open a dialog window where you can set:
Immunity Level
Defines immunity to false alarms. The Standard level (default setting) combines basic immunity with a fast reaction. The Increased level provides higher immunity but the detector's reaction is slower. To comply with standard EN 50131 2-2:2021, the Standard level must be used.
Motion Signaling LED Indicator
Allows the user to disable the motion signaling via a red LED.
Detection Characteristics
The standard lens supplied with the JA-110P detector covers an area of 110 degrees / 12 m. The area is covered by 3 beams - see the figure below.
This detection characteristic is valid for standard PIR immunity.
Alternative Lenses
- JS-7910: Equipped only with the upper beam covering 120 degrees / 12 m and does not cover the floor (may eliminate the detection of small domestic animals on the floor). With this lens, the detector corresponds to the JA-110P PET type.
- JS-7904: Designed for long corridors - with a working range of up to 20 m. Enhanced immunity cannot be used with this lens! When using this lens, the detector does not comply with standard EN 50131 2-2:2021.
- JS-7902: Vertical curtain - does not cover an area but creates a detection wall (can be used to create a barrier and report its violation). When using this lens, the detector does not comply with standard EN 50131 2-2:2021.
Note: When replacing a lens with another type, check if the detector correctly covers the zone (a poorly installed lens can cause detection errors).
Connection and Indicators
Figure 6: Detector PCB layout and terminals. Key elements are: red activation indicator (6), yellow fault indicator (7), digital bus terminals (8: +U, A, B, GND), production code (9), tamper contact (10), and PIR sensor (11).
Basic Procedure
6. Proceed according to the control panel installation manual. Basic procedure:
- When the device is activated, the yellow LED (7) starts flashing repeatedly to indicate that the module has not been assigned to the system.
- Go to the F-Link program, select the desired position in the Devices window, and start the assignment mode by pressing the Assign option.
- Press the tamper contact on the detector (10) - the detector is assigned, and the yellow LED indicator turns off.
7. Close the detector cover. To comply with standards, the cover must be secured with the supplied screw.
