The JA-110P product is a component of the JABLOTRON system. It is used for detecting human motion in indoor building spaces. Its detection characteristics can be altered by using an alternative lens. Immunity to false alarms is available in two options. The detector has an impulse response (reports only its triggering). The detector should be installed by a trained technician holding a valid certificate from an authorized dealer. This product is compatible with JA-101K, JA-102K, JA-103K, JA-106K, JA-107K.
Mounting
The detector can be installed on a wall or in a room corner. Its field of view should not contain objects that rapidly change temperature (e.g., electric heaters, gas appliances) or move (e.g., curtains hanging over a radiator), nor pets. It is not recommended to install the detector facing windows or spotlights, or in locations with excessive airflow (near fans, heat sources, air conditioning outlets, leaky doors, etc.). There should be no obstructions in front of the detector that could hinder its view.
Diagram 1: Mounting Holes
Illustration shows:
- 1 - Holes for mounting on a flat wall
- 2, 4 - Holes for mounting in a corner
- 3 - Retaining clip
- 5 - Cover latch
- Open the detector cover (by pressing the latch - 5). Avoid touching the internal PIR sensor (11) as you might damage it.
- Remove the circuit board – it is held by clip 3.
- Drill holes for the circuit board screws and the cable in the plastic base. The recommended mounting height for the detector is 2.5 m above the floor.
- Feed the bus cable through and fix the plastic base to the wall with screws (vertically, with the cover latch facing downwards). Important: Always switch off the power supply when connecting the detector to the system bus.
- Reinsert the circuit board and connect the bus cables to the terminals (8).
- Proceed according to the instructions for mounting the central control units.
Internal Settings
The detector's characteristics can be set in the Components list window of the F-Link software. When you are at the detector's location, open the Internal Settings option to access a dialog window for making settings:
- Immunity Level: Determines immunity to false alarms. The Standard immunity level (factory setting) combines basic immunity with a fast reaction. The Increased level offers higher immunity, but the detector's reaction is slower. To comply with standard EN 50131-2-2:2021, the Standard level must be used.
- Motion Detection LED: Allows the user to disable the motion detection indicator via a red LED.
Detection Characteristics
The standard lens supplied with the JA-110P detector covers a range of 110 degrees / 12 m. The range is monitored by 3 beams – see the following illustration.
Diagram 2: Detection Patterns
These detection characteristics apply to standard PIR immunity.
The characteristics can be altered by using an alternative lens:
Lens Type | Description |
---|---|
JS-7910 | Equipped only with the upper beam, monitoring 120 degrees / 12 m and not covering the ground (can eliminate the motion of small pets on the floor). With this lens, the detector corresponds to the JA-110P PET type. |
JS-7904 | For long corridors – with a working range of up to 20 m. Increased interference immunity cannot be used with this lens! When using this lens, the detector does not comply with standard EN50131-2-2:2021. |
JS-7902 | Vertical curtain – it does not monitor an area but forms a detection wall (can be used to create a barrier and report its breach). When using this lens, the detector does not comply with standard EN50131-2-2:2021. |
Note: If a lens is replaced with a different type, test whether the detector monitors the area correctly (an incorrectly installed lens can cause detection errors).
