Note: All parameters are specified at normal input (48VDC), rated load, 25°C 70% RH ambient, unless otherwise noted.
Note 2: Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz by using a 12" twisted pair terminated with a 0.1uF capacitor.
Note 3: Test condition: 48VDC input.
Note 4: Output voltage will always step down by 3 volts from input DC voltage.

Performance Characteristics
Reflow Soldering Curve (for LDD-300~1000HS)
The reflow soldering curve indicates temperature profiles for soldering. It shows a peak temperature of 240°C for a maximum of 10 seconds, with a duration of 60 seconds maximum above 220°C. This curve applies specifically to Hot Air Reflow Soldering.
Derating Curve
The derating curve illustrates the relationship between ambient temperature (Ta) and the maximum load percentage. For example, models 600mA-1200mA are rated up to 71°C, while the 1500mA model is rated up to 65°C. Models 300mA-500mA are rated up to 85°C.
PWM Dimming Control
The PWM dimming control allows for output current modulation. A high PWM signal (e.g., 5V) turns the driver ON, while a low signal (e.g., 0V) turns it OFF. The output current is proportional to the duty cycle, reaching maximum at 100% duty cycle and zero at 0% duty cycle. The tolerance is typically ±3%.
Standard Application
A typical application circuit shows the LDD-H driver connected between the input voltage (+Vin, -Vin) and the LED string (+Vout, -Vout). A PWM signal is applied to the DIM pin for dimming control. The driver is connected to the first LED in the string, with the last LED completing the circuit.
Efficiency vs. Output Voltage (Number of LEDs)
Several graphs display the efficiency of the LDD-H series drivers across different input voltages and output configurations:
- Fig-1: 12VDC input, 1-3 LEDs (Vf=3V). Efficiency is shown for various output currents (300mA to 1500mA).

In general, efficiency is high, often exceeding 80% and reaching up to 97% under optimal conditions.
